Official Episode VIII - Kylo Ren Discussion Thread

That's what I think too. When I first saw it smashed in the teaser, I assumed he did it or something bad happened. When I saw the different versions of it in the BTS vid, that's when I thought it was possibly being crushed on his face.

 

sorry if my post was badly worded, i mean crushed while off of his face.
like he takes it off and drops it on the floor and crushes it.
i don't for a minute believe his head is in it while it's being crushed ~ hahahaha

I really don't think Snoke would crush the helmet. Ren has to do this himself. It's important for his character development. Yes, Snoke probably wants him to smash the helmet (therefore the fight against the guards) to accept his loss against Rey.

 

probably Ren himself does it because yes, meaning.
i also don't believe he fights the guards as a training measure. : D

 

I think it's punisment but also training. Haha! Boy, Snoke is evil.

 

It's hard to say. There's back-to-back pics of the guards and Adam and Daisy training, and everyone's weapons match based on hand positioning. It seems they are fighting all 5. Not sure why Rian would show that though.

 

As I mentioned some time ago, this means nothing. Kylo Ren could use those guards for the attack on Ahch-To. Do you remember the rumor of Luke fighting Ren and Rey fighting some other guys?
Usually marketing footage doesn't show anything of the third act and Ren won't be redeemed before the third act.

 

Yeah many people are already accepting/expecting his redemption. If they drag it out, it might make people doubt it, and at the end of act 3 it will end up unexpected like Adam hoped.

Yep @Lady Rey I'm glad he's in a talking mood, he always seems late to discussing Kylo until I'm bored waiting & then miss when he has something interesting too say, maybe it's on RJ's orders.

 

Kylo is being kept pretty secret as well as how much of him we'll see in this movie. I'm hoping it means something good. The poster is him, Luke and Rey, but we've only heard about Luke and Rey mostly since they are the "beating heart" of VIII.

 

I like that description, ''the beating heart'' yep the beat is strong between the master & apprentice until Kylo crashes the training session in his tie silencer.
