Official Episode VIII - Kylo Ren Discussion Thread

After looking back at everything and attempting to piece together legit facts including Adam's reaction in the interview, I think the theory I'm sticking with until December is Kylo is going to do something very stupid, yet very heroic.

He will not die (Adam said he would love to work on SW again if IX happens), but he might wish he was dead.

I think Snoke is a body stealer and he was prepping Ren to be his next victim, but might set his sights on Rey or Luke due to Kylo failing him.

Two things could happen then. Kylo chooses to be taken in place of them, or gets in the way of the transfer attempt. This could mean he will be sacrificed, or when we think it'll happen, Luke or Rey will do something unexpected and Kylo will be saved.

If that soundtrack was legit, Leia could also be the sacrifice, but not the kind that kills you since we know they filmed all her scenes thinking she would return for IX and changed nothing. This could be when Kylo Ren turns. Adam said long ago that Kylo could be the way he is from not having someone love him or show they cared, and Leia doing something out of love for her son would be the one true way to save him.

That being said, whatever actually happens, I know Rian will make the wait worth it.

The Falcon is firing at Kylo Ren's character car. We could assume that this is how Ren will crash his TIE.

 

We saw the Falcon shooting at TIE Fighters on Ach-To (I think) in the teaser, so it's a possibility.

 

I want to see scratch and sniff and lickable Star Wars toys. Lights and sounds have been done to death.
