    It's so lame. We're like two years away from Episode 9 but I'm so not ready to say goodbye. But I guess there's always the old comforts of fan art and fan fiction, huh?

    So far we don't have any confirmation that we have to say goodbye to the Skywalkers after IX--or at least, no confirmation that we have to say goodbye permanently. We could just be taking a hiatus! I kind of like the idea of "taking a break" myself, because if the Skywalker saga is spread out a little in terms of years between when the trilogies are made, we keep the "specialness" of it, if that makes sense.

    And I didn't even mention continuing the Skywalker line through Reylo children in this post!

    however ep9 finishes (unless they literally kill everybody).. this saga can continue if LF want to.
    We thought the saga finished at 6.. and look where we are now. there is literally no need for them to put a full stop after 9.. even if they are thinking that way currently.

    if it's Ben (and i mean he has to call himself that at least once with conviction to the point that it makes me tearful) and we find that Rey is definitely NOT a Skywalker (i'm still teetering on that) then i'm absolutely fine with them hopping on the good foot and doing the bad thing ;)

    He limps up to Leia's Medcenter bed, eyes downcast- unable to look his mother in the face. He falls to his knees next to her, grimacing at the pain, still dripping blood from the hard-won battle.

    Leia says nothing. Her eyes are still closed.

    Kylo gasps. This is so much worse than anything he's ever felt before. Nothing can compare to the utter anguish he feels at seeing his formidable mother brought low. His fault.

    "It's me", he whispers, "Mother, it's me. Ben. I've come back. Please wake up"

    He nearly gives up hope until he feels her gentle hand on his shoulder- a comforting weight that reminds him so much of his childhood. She knows.


    AND SCENE AND LET MY TEARS FLOW FREE.



    I know this isn't the place for poorly written fanfiction but just imagine. :(

    Some days ago there was a (most likely fake) "leak" which had a similar idea for the ending of TLJ. Leia is in a coma and Ben is approaching her. He's promising that he will find Rey and save her.
