Nice article about Kylo. He is for sure complex and a great villain.

I genuinely love how he delivers every line like a kid who is mad at his parents (or his uncle in this one)
"I BET YOU ARE!"
Could be so dumb but it just slips right in and sounds like something Kylo would absolutely yell

 

I remember it was one of my favorite moments when Luke says something like"Ben, I'm sorry" and then he says that line"I'm sure you are!" with such ferociousness and like a child as you say. Just the way he says it.

He is so unpredictable.

 

Kylo is the Big Bad.

Rey attempted to do what she thought good ole Luke Skywalker the legend would do. Go right into the throne room of the enemy and turn the apprentice against the master and save the galaxy. Instead she escapes having handed the 1st Order to a broken and disturbed man. Who yet again chose the Dark Side and now seeks to simply make himself the ruler.

 

I think people lose track of the fact that Kylo is an emotionally stunted man-child. Snoke has been messing with him for so long and he feels so betrayed by all the same people while he was at the right age...he just kind of stayed there emotionally.
This is a real thing that happens with trauma victims, they can become stunted at the age of the event.

Having Kylo be perpetually stuck in this pubescent rage of angst and emotion after feeling betrayed and manipulated...it's so fun to see what easily could have (should have) been the Anakin story...

Rey done goofed. She may have made things worse.

 

Goofed yes. Snoke was a powerful creature of forethought and planning. Despicable evil sure but he was in line to control. Kylo wants to destroy everything that bothers him. Its the incredible power wielded by an angry and deluded man.

 

He was powerful, but was not very wise and apparently predictable. Kylo is powerful and unpredictable because Snoke did not see what was coming.

 

Snoke saw it...he just didn't see ALL of it...

 

Well he only seen one version and not what was beside him.

 

Yep. Snoke was never wrong....he turned the lightsaber and killed his true enemy...

 

And the worst part is this happened right after lecturing Luke Skywalker on morality but didn't kill him when she had the chance after seeing him double down on everything he had done in the past two films, making her the most infuriating character in the saga by far.

 

From that screencap all I'm seeing is a TIE fighter in the direct line of fire of the TIE Silencer and the TIE's explosion. Need more proof than that...

I don't know what he will wear, a fancy black outfit will be great, but more importantly, and since JJ is back, I want impossibly pretty coiffed hair back, damn it.

 

This is hoping that he will be one bad ass mofo in the next one (Shaggy black hair, 8 pack included). The teenage tantrums can go.

yeah, it's time for him to grow up now.

 

The Vader reveal happens in bloodline. I read it a long time ago, but It was a family secret Leia kept from Ben, then someone leaked that she was his daughter to the press. That's how he found out.

That means academy happened after bloodlines. Ben was 23 when he turned.

Those gosh darn pesky human emotions compassion, pity, and sympathy. They are clearly signs of weakness if Rey didn't want to murder a defenceless unconscious man in cold blood, even if he was a mass murderer, he was a still a gosh darn human being she was getting close too in a force bond. And having things to relate about like loneliness and trouble with accepting the past.

 

we still don't have confirmation on the timeline, but it looks to me that yeah, Ben could have been gone before Leia even tried to contact him (so there's a strong chance he never did get her message). and likely Snoke was the one who told him all about his grandfather (maybe even after he learned happenstantially and went looking).

they really could use that message from Leia in ix if they needed a way for her to reach him without having Carrie present.
