Ok. I'm putting myself in the firing line. I have one very tenuous link to the production of Ep VII, someone who teases me constantly about how they need to keep tight-lipped and who loves to wind me up. I can't even say for certain they are on the production, but I know they were approached. That is 100%

Anyway. I was trying to prise titbits from them and this remark was made: "Boyega doesn't even speak English in the film. Oops...." I was joking about Boyega needing to affect a US accent at the time.

This is most likely (another) wind up, but for once I thought I'd risk looking silly and pass it on. Has anyone heard anything similar?

OK. Picture a cold night in Cloud City. Han is off making Kessle runs. Lando offers his comfort to a lonley Princess Leia. 9 months later, we have a problem in the delivery room. Rumor has it Han and Leia are estranged in TFA. No sign of Billy D in the cast, and a young black (force sensitive) leading male character. Just saying.....

 

Uhm. No. I don't see any reason for her to be ina Cloud City and If I remember correctly, she still didnt like Lando that much. So unless he raped her its a big no

 

Yikes. Let's not throw the R word around lightly. The OP is being somewhat tongue-in-cheek I think.

In any case, I checked with Lobot and he shook his head to say No.

 

I wouldn't say he will be her son but this brought to mind my theory that Han and Leia won't be an "item" when we see them in the movie. I'll bet they tried to make it work but had some troubles and separated for some reason or another and at some point they will by necessity run into each other. Awkward moments ensue. But the spark is still there.

This would allow the audience to be just as surprised to see her as Han would be. It would also be a sort of extension to their story arc from the last movies...they always had this love/hate thing going.

 

I guess not every character with a distinct...hue...need be related to other characters with the same hue, but it would be fun if Leia all this time pretended Boyega to be Han's and he just never caught on to anything. I guess that's what they did in Me, Myself and Irene.

 

The son of a white woman (Leia) and a medium skin-tone black man (Lando) would most-likely have darker skin than the mother but lighter skin than the father. John Boyega's skin is darker than Lando's skin, not lighter.

 

I reckon Chewie is guilty as sin. Boyega will have a teenwolf moment in the force awakens and start growing hair all over. Next thing he knowns he is a wookie

Rape is a little dark for Disney. But hey....compelling story line if Han kills off Lando as a result. Nice point.

I don't think Boyega will be connected to any old characters to be honest. Out of Daisy, Isaac, Boyega, Gleeson and Driver I'd put my money on Daisy, Driver and possibly Gleeson being connected to the old trilogy names.

Just a hunch.

 

Come on now, Boyega's blacker than Lando! He'd at least be a Marmite colour if Leia was his mother.
