Official Leia Organa Episode VIII Discussion Thread

Is Leia now the defacto leader of the Republic due to Hosnian Prime's destruction and Martial Law?

 

Curiously, Jen Heddle (editor at Lucasfilm, editor of Bloodline) wrote a Han/Leia fanfiction in which Han buys a ring like this one to Leia when he finds out she's pregnant. It has three stones (the two of them plus the child). The design - as described in the fic - is identical to this one.

 

that's really interesting. maybe the third stone is missing because the child is missing.

 

I just want to point out again quickly that Carrie and her dog Gary have been on set (see social media accounts for both. Yes her dog has an Instagram) nearly the entire time anything has been shown from the pinewood set. I know there were those "Leia is barely in the movie" and "Leia is in a coma" rumors so this is interesting if those are true. BUT Mark Hamill also hung around on set for TFA and we all know how his role went. His only scene wasn't even at Pinewood and I'm sure they suggested even if he wanted to anyway, that he hang around set to just keep us on our toes thinking he was in more of the movie. Let there be no doubt that they know how rabid the fanbase is and how we keep track of this stuff but at the same time maybe Carrie has been present on set this much because she is just simply in a lot of the film. Only time will tell.

 

This drives me insane. They could at least say, it means something, or just wait, or say it's just a ring. NEVER SAYS ANYTHING ABOUT IT. Every little thing in the movie has a 1,000 word article, but this ring? Silence.

She was also filming a tv show there in the UK and she is known for just wanting to hang around. I have a feeling she will have more than a few minutes in the beginning though. Her trailer is known for being the place to hang esp for the legacy actors in TFA. Or so it's said.

 

Yeah I think it can go either way. She's either just hanging out or she had at least as many scenes as TFA. I see stuff pop up all the time about people trying to judge how much an actor was in the film based on travel and it's simply not possible. Adam Driver was bouncing all around during the TFA filming and look at how much he was in it.

 

Yeah, only time will tell.

well yeah... I'm pretty sure Leia didn't die in childbirth either lol dreams are distorted representations of reality.

Sure, she could be dreaming of her own birth. But I still find the excerpt highly intriguing, because the fact remains that she's picturing herself having more than one child. She doesn't see herself in anyone else's place (Han, Luke or Chewie). We know Padme, there's no reason why they couldn't have described her instead
