Official Luke Skywalker: The Force Awakens Thread

It's basically a bunch of cameras 360° taking a single photo at the same time. You input all the photos into a program like Autodesk Image Modeler and poof you have a 3D model with textures. Some clean ups needed of course but its a great starting point for CG artists.

I want to know if they're using this to enhance the puppets.

 

Oh my dear sweet Star Wars The force Awakens lord of everything Jedish, this photo of Luke looks awesome..

 

I like the idea of this look being seen in a hologram earlier in the film, with his look at the end of the film being a more disheveled version of this. It fits with Mark's progressively shaggy look.

 

I'd love to see a tutorial on this. If it isn't too hard to achieve, I could convince someone in investing in it.

 

Thanks for this. I'm thinking he's posing for a toy or video game here.

Also this is probably a more recent photo than not. We know Mark got into shape for filming last year. I'll just leave it at that. Also the beard doesn't look too long. We know he started growing it again a couple months ago. It doesn't look too much longer here than it did at comic com.

Just for the record Luke should be in his early/mid 50s at the time of TFA. 24 or so at the time of Jedi right?

 

The more I look at it, the more I get the feeling this is from his new Jedi academy training days, and the teaser 2 look is more recent in the timeline of the films.

Either way, it's perfect. Never thought I'd get to see this.

Kinda late Disney. The image is plastered all over every star wars forum on the net.

 

Luke's doing Jedi Master Texas-style. Look at that big honkin' belt buckle!

 

He looks amaze ballz!! . Once again big props to Michael Kaplan .Not what i expected at all . I usually agree with those who say it's a shame Obi Wan's hermit robes suddenly became the official Jedi garb but they have done something more with it this time i think. The bright colours was very unexpected .Begs the same question from the EW article "Who is Luke Skywalker?"

He looks very wizardly or druid like but also a bit messiah like . His entrance will be epic. Like when Gandalf comes back from the dead as Gandalf the white. An awakening....
Wild speculation here but Maybe Snoke's line about the awakening comes at the end ? I wonder what darkness also awakes?

As much as i love this , dark Luke look from ROTJ will always lay closest to my heart though .


EDIT: WHAT A WEEK!!! next Jedi council episode will be epic

 

19 in ANH, 22 in ESN, 23 in ROTJ, + 35 years in TFA. The almost age of Obi-Wan in ANH (I know, time is not kind to jedi, right...)

LUKE!!!! OMG HOLY blast IT'S LUKE!!!!! FINALLY!!!!!! LOOKS GREAT!!! MARK HAMILL IS THE MAN!!!!!! I love the colors they picked too! No more darkness! This is the look of a TRUE jedi master!

Okay...so now we just need confirmation that his role isn't just a cameo, and that he has scenes with Han, Leia, C3PO, and R2D2.

I ain't even gonna ask for a saber wielding scene even though I am still really, really hoping for one....I will just be happy if he has more than a cameo and scenes with the original cast at this point...
