    I think this is Grand Master Luke Skywalker at the end of the film. He grew his beard and hair quite scraggly... I Believe that was for the exile shots... so looks like more then a cameo?

    can't say, through the past year, and from some involved with the movie, but maybe they wasn' t sure about the time and finally settled on the number 30. We'll find out soon...

    A lot of things I have read have stated that it takes place approximately 30 years after RotJ. The wikipedia blurb about the movie states that as well.

    I would say that you could probably give or take a year or two at this point. RotJ was released in 1983, so if we are going be real world aging of the actors, one could reasonably point to 32 years. Doesn't really matter much either way however, as long as it makes sense for the film, a few years either direction wont hurt anything.

    I think this shows Luke stayed true to the Jedi ways just as Obi-Wan did. I'm guessing he has no offspring, but I hope Rey turns out to be his daughter.

    yeah being jedi is like living the life of a priest. i think rey might be han and Leia's if shes related at all. but as mentioned in the the EW article, their names ahve been kept secret for a reason.
