    I like these speculations. Thanks to the TPTB leaving the nature of the force and some character history up for debate, and with all this time to kill before the saga movies define our wild theories out of existence, surely now's the time for asinine *clears throat* creative and divergent conjecture.

    I'm really starting to wonder whether Rey was left on Jakku because she was a great danger. I'm wondering if whoever left her went searching for ways to cure her.
    And on top of this whether there has been some kind of Force restraint put on her to prevent her from unleashing her uncontrollable power.
    Much like the Jean Grey/Prof. X stuff from X Men. Has Kylo unlocked her potential and where will this lead?

    I was thinking that the supposed leak about Luke, Rey and the KoR in Ireland could be a deeper analysis of the force vision she had on Takodana. She tells Luke she saw that and he asks her to go deeper in her threats like he did with Yoda on Dagobah. Maybe it's not real and the cliff she's on is the edge of the darkside.

    Random thought: I'd like for Rey to have some ability that comes more natural to her than it does to Luke. Luke could help her to develop the ability but ultimately benefit from her having the skill. Not sure what it would be, but much like Luke was different from Obi, her character would make different choices when they get in trouble.

    This wouldn't be a slight to Luke, just a way of letting people be different.

    I thought that was basically what happened to her with the Jedi Mind Trick, which came out of nowhere. And the Force Pull (although that one actually made sense based on what she'd already seen when facing Kylo Ren).
