    Maybe the First Order is like the 501st? Hence it might be a special corps under the command of a crazy dude maybe it is not the "new" Empire but the star wars version of the Third Reich I mean the Third Reich formed after a war too and after the defeat of their own "Reich" in this case Empire.

    I'm glad that they seem to have created a new term for what was the Empire.

    The Separatists vs the Republic
    The Rebels vs the Empire
    And now
    The Resistance vs The First Order
    It makes sense if accurate.

    It has me more excited than an Empire that never died.

    Notice the white TIE fighters on the left, nice idea to have a paintjob for vehicles/craft for specific planets and regions. Also there's a turret on the right side, which very much looks like a Death Star turret! Woot!

    The imagery certainly evokes the Third Reich even more than the Empire.
    Kylo Ren fetishizing the Sith and the old empire under a new order makes a ton of sense to me.

    Divide and rule tactics by Uber. Different people vying for power i.e Kylo Ren/Chrometrooper/Gleeson's character (I guess he is a Tarkin-type character) but ultimately Uber is the new 'emperor' in all but name

    yeah, Resistance is kind of weird. it implies that the First Order has the upper hand and that the New Republic never really got off the ground, which is pretty interesting. my bet is that after the Battle of Endor there was something of a peace deal between the Rebel Alliance and the remnant Imperials, together becoming the First Order. over the period of 30 years it would appear that the Order started to lean back into its evil, Imperial roots. maybe even Leia is/was part of the Order and it's only when Kylo Ren and his goons start Maclunkey blast up that a Resistance begins.

    I think it would be very interesting if it was Leia. This was the first thought that entered my mind when I saw this scene. It might not be true, but for some reason I "saw" Leia there.

    If Kylo is the Vader to the First Order's Leader... it's "Uber" up there. He looks 7 feet tall... minimum.

    Just posted this in the trailor thread:
    Ok after watching a few (million) times
    There is something i am not seeing
    i cant put my finger on it but a feeling and a thought....not sure if this is the place but skip if nutty
    In the PT the Troopers started as good, then order 66 was it?
    OT they were bad
    What if this new group are good again the first order a new group (ok maybe not good) but lead by leia
    Rumors of her power hungry ways are around
    Han is piolting a star destroyer what
    Gleeson is on both sides.... Conflicted he sees them becomeing what they hate.
    Kylo can be a solo and lead a group of troopers. He is leading down a dark path an mom is blind to it he is out there doing horrible things but she is obsessed with crushing whatbis left
    A lot of gaps i know but there is an odd flip in here i FELL it.

    The imagery is too Third Reich for it to be positive IMHO.

    I've never known of a 'good' regime parade like that, in an almost totally reverent rally, at any point in history.
