He could be, but it also looks like her hands are tied. She could be trembling in fear. Not that it would diminish her being "tough," because that would be pretty terrifying...

She's not shaking. It's mostly the erratic light of the saber that makes it look that way.

Edit: this scene is so bad ass.

It looks like she's shaking to me. Even before Kylo moves his saber to her next, she's shaking.

Do we know there's an opening crawl? I don't think we do. I think all bets are off at this point.

Every Star Wars movie has an opening crawl. I can 100% guarantee it will be there. The Star Wars main theme was composed by John Williams and it is here to stay. Yes, it has made minor changes for each film and project, but it is based on the same theme and has been a staple to Star Wars and will stay that way even after when Mr. Williams passes. I hate to think of the day that will ever happen. :(

I think an opening crawl is the safest bet that can be made about the film. I'd say its the only 100% sure thing.

On the contrary: this bet's on!
I just started a thread in the Cantina Casino: (WAGER) THERE WILL BE AN OPENING CRAWL
I'm putting up all the credits I have available to wager—250 credits that Star Wars The Force Awakens WILL HAVE an Opening Crawl.

I think you're bluffing, of course.
    I'm not. :)

[Note added next day: I think I done created the quietest Wager-Thread in this here Cantina. Crickets, I tells ya! ;)]

This is going to be so epic.

Strangely as someone who's always loved the action and lightsaber fights from Star Wars so much the 'Finn, I'm Rey' bit was my favourite part.

I can't explain why but that was the shot that finally sold me on just how good this film is going to be, I don't know whether it's the acting, characters or whatever but it just felt magical...Or I could just be completely in love with Daisy Ridley and that's skewed my opinion :p

Anyone else also love this part?

Also, for a while I've believed this will be a great film, earning lots of 3 and a half to 4 star reviews and being thought of as in the same league as stuff like The Avengers or Hunger Games. Now I'm convinced this is going to be something very special instead.

I agree with the poster who said this is going to be thought of as JJ's magnum opus, everything I've seen has been stunning and the shot I just mentioned floored me completely. I'm a fan of Rian Johnson, but I'd be shocked if they ever top this one again. No mattar how hard you try or how big the budget is, it's very difficult to create magic on screen, even if everything is done right. This film has it.

I'm calling it, this is going to be the best Star Wars film ever made, now and for a good while I reckon.

The shot that everybody talked about last night - the explosion into the hangar control room - it's when Finn and Poe escape with the TIE Fighter, and they fire at the control room, the same kind of room as we saw in Star Wars ("TK-421, why aren't you at your post?" "Sorry sir, new trailer out"). There might be a hologram there, in that case I'm sure it's Hux or Ren telling the officer there to stop that TIE Fighter from leaving the hangar..too late.

The shot where Rey sits tinkering with something and staring wistfully - I'm convinced we see her notice a lonely figure approaching from the desert (Finn).

I also agree that it would be both lovely and kind of necessary to see some A- and B-Wings. And maybe we will. Though everything we've seen so far is just X-Wings and TIE Fighters.

Yes, I love that scene too. All the little character moments are incredibly (suspiciously?) promising. It really sounds like they worked hard to make it all feel right in terms of epic coolness vs characterization; the kind of balance that The Empire Strikes Back got so very, very right.

You can feel it. This movie is on a completely different level than any movie before it. I hope 8 and 9 are equally impressive.

I'd better pay homage to these swivel mounted blasters then. Better some improvement than nothing.
Legends has it those TIE fighters handle terribly in atmosphere so reverse firing makes sense although 'm sure the pilots would still prefer shields...

The thing about Rian Johnson is he'll already have an advantage as he'll have an amazing movie and story in which to build on.

Also the standard will be set by JJ so Rian Johnson will have a bar to reach for and understandably will want to surpass.

Despite his previous work he is still relatively new to the game and hasn't done anything close to the size and importance of Star wars. I think he will be desperate to prove himself as a Director which has been proven by the fact he has signed up for this. No one in their right mind would take on something this big without wanting to prove something and think they are the right person for the job. Taking on a thing this important after all could literally kill a person's career before it's even had a chance to get off the ground, if it turns out to be a flop.

So with all that in mind I think there is a very good chance Rian Johnson will produce something equally spectacular or even do an empire strikes back and surpass it.

Colin Trevorrow on the other hand.... he is my biggest worry for the franchise. Sorry Colin I really hope I'm wrong about that.

Just a great post. I did love the part with Daisy as well. She IS the part. It's believable, and thats the most important thing. I think this will be a special film as well. Greatest ever Star Wars? Hard to say. Its all personal preference. There will be some people that hate it no matter what. I believe it will be on par with the OT, and
really set the tone for the next chapters. I think its telling that JJ is only doing one. I think hes putting his all into it, and it will be his crowning achievement. He can walk away knowing he made something the majority of SW fans love, and that really took the franchise to another level. Hard to do!

6 weeks away and TFA will be apart of us. We will have another 2 hours of SW to feast our eyes, and soul on.

When I see Rey look at Finn she has this doe-eyed look on her face.

wow a 30 page discussion in 2 days for a new trailer this place is going to go nuts on the 17th

anyway so many great new shot those tie coming out of a sunset just looked amazing & o course the to gun esq x wing tie chase

how the scean with Rey apparently keeling (its hard to tell it might just be he camera angle) with Kylos lightsaber at her neck j& the look of ear & a touch of rage in face is just amazing . here's is the big question though is this before or after she start shotting (Iam guessing its at Kylo) from the first trailer plus Iam hoping that she a least hit him a couple of times as I don't think he is skilled enough to start deflecting blaster shot with the saber.
