I demand definitive proof that Poe isn't force sensitive otherwise everyone saying he isn't is wrong because ............. you haven't TLJ yet, ya thats the ticket.

Being extremely talent doesn't = Mary Sue. Being extremely talented at everything with no flaws is the Mary Sue trait. Think Han Solo vs Corran Horn.

But does the fact that a character is a Mary Sue make him/her uninteresting or unlikeable?

    To some people. Not all.

Before Rey I thought the biggest Mary Sue in Star Wars was Corran Horn - and he was an extremely popular character.

Kinda depends on how the person relates to the character and what they like in characters. I think the people looking for.....self-insertion will generally be more accepting of Mary Sue's (I think this is true of Corran for example - great pilot, a "law man" and a scoundrel, had an awesome R2 unit just like Luke, got the girl, could use the force and became a Jedi - but a Jedi WITH a unique lightsaber AND a unique force ability that allowed him to use the force ability he wasn't susposed to have......) a lot of readers saw that as.......the ultimate Star Wars fantasy. "Thats who I'd want to be". He was basically the best parts of Han and Luke mashed together + some ultra cool extra stuff- so the character was very popular.

Fans who don't want that out of their characters, find them uninteresting.

It doesn't say he isn't. you can't say that, you don't know, how dare you say that. In the trailer its hinted at so...........

No, Rey is extremely talented at everything. Poe is a great pilot. Rey is a great pilot and shot and jedi and swordswoman and mechanic etc....

How dare you. Until you can prove, beyond the shadow of a doubt that Poe is not force-senseitive you can not say that he isn't. They may introduce it as a surprise in episode IX or X or XIII or MCIXXIIVI

Your'e right, he is grossly overpowered........ that lip bite will be the undoing of the 1st Order

I think Poe is force sensitive...maybe he isn't some super force user like Rey but then again if we look at the old jedi order, not every force user was an Anakin Skywalker..... there are many things that just don't add up w/o force sensitivity playing a part such as his incredible piloting skills, his never missing a shot (the Takodana scene) and his making that near impossible shot that destroyed SKB (I'm not even going into the whole force tree stuff).

Force sensitives don't necessarily start as prodigies....look at Luke getting zapped by the training remote while trying to use a lightsaber in ANH (Han even laughed at his attempts)....but with training and experience he ended up a great jedi.

As for the argument Kylo getting info from Poe but failing with Rey....lets look at some facts. According to Poe's logbook, he was brutally tortured for hours and the records say every type of torture was used on him including electric shocks that almost killed him but he didn't break. With no respite after that, Kylo was brought in and he dug into his mind so brutally that Poe's scream destroyed the torture droid's sensors.

Now lets contrast it with Rey's treatment....no torture or rough treatment......Kylo unmasks and is curious about her...even when he gets into her mind, he says he will try to do it as gently as possible.... Rey was physically fit and Kylo was not burrowing into her brain violently like he did with Poe....of course she had the chance to turn tables on Kylo.

So I don't think Kylo being able to read Poe's mind is exactly a sign that he lacks force sensitivity.

No. Rey is the Last Jedi. Luke and Ahsoka are going to be Grey Knights.

According to just about everything Lucasfilm has said about TLJ, Luke is the Last Jedi. Rey may become the true last Jedi, that's fair enough.
But, the thread is asking if Poe will become a Jedi. Please explain why you don't think he will.

To address the three points brought up by @SlugmanAttacks

    1. I do find Poe escaping a bit of a mystery but couldn't find any concrete explanation for his escape from the crash.

    2. About the force tree.....In the Shattered Empire comic, I did find it curious that Luke offered Shara Bey the force tree after he asks her about her son....a funny coincidence. Also, in Poe's Logbook, Poe used to swing on the branches of the force tree as a kid and he also looked after this tree.

In an interview about his novel Before the Awakening, Greg Rucka talked about the tree:

"If he's trying to recover knowledge, you know, it's like I don't want to do a holocron; holocrons have been done, don't do that. And I could hear both Pablo and Leland groan, and they're like, 'Yeah not another holocron.' And we'd been talking a lot about Palpatine and really about how horrible he was, and I think it was Pablo who said, 'You know what, you should use the tree from the Jedi Temple, from the Clone Wars cartoon."

So obviously the tree given to Shara Bey is a lot more important than the average flora in TGFFA.

    3. As for Poe's flying abilities....In the Before the Awakening novel, Leia even said that Poe's flying reminded her of Luke. If he was just your average talented pilot, she could have compared him to someone like Wedge (who was also a famous hero).

It just seems too weird of a twist. I mean, Finn could be a Jedi, he was pretty good with a lightsaber. But Poe I don’t know...

Han and Chewie used lightsabers in a fight in the canon Star Wars comics as well.... I don't think that is a definitive sign of force sensitivity. Poe on the other hand made an impossible shot at the oscillator of SKB...I would think that is a much greater sign of force sensitivity.
