Well, I wondered what that episode with title like that is about :)

So we will see Lando on LOTHAL? (epic fail)

I am afraid that Lothal is asking some time for some MEME treatment.
Like series of pics from Star Wars movies with background changed for Lothal.
From Luke vs Darth Vader to battle on Endor, because Lothal isn't Star Wars, Star Wars is Lothal!

''It's heading to that small moon''
''That is no moon, it is Lothal!''

Haha, hopefully it's a step away from Lothal. I see no reason Lando and possibly the Millennium Falcon would be there. But, seeing how the temple idea played out really well, it could work well enough :p

Hmm. Maybe, but I feel it isn't. JJ doesn't have to be that tied down to Rebels, he just has to provide some small connections. It's a big galaxy :D

I totally agree. It's still a possibility either way :)

The Ezra I know would have stole the lightsabers from dead Jedi laying around.

WOW!!! Great episode! I was at the edge of my seat. Like everything about the episode (except for Lothal Temple which I was half disappointed, half surprised about)
I want to see Ezra's StapleSaber in action!!

We better. And since the next episode "Idiot's Array", is a reference to Lando Calrissian, let's hope there is some good action :D

Everyone is bitching that there was a Jedi Temple on Lothal but keep these things in mind:

    - there were ancient Jedi temples spread all throughout the galaxy (Yavin IV for example)
    - as the episode shows, maybe in bygone eras past Jedi used such focal points to communicate with each other over long distances before there was interstellar technology to do such?
    - maybe one of Ezra's parents were Jedi that came to Lothal after the purge
    - That other kid in the academy a few episodes back was also force sensitive. Maybe ancient Jedi built a temple here because this planet is strongly attuned to the Force? A side-effect of that could also be that beings that live in such places might be more likely to produce Force Sensitive offspring.

Coolest part, the two dead Jedi masters sitting there waiting for their padawans to come out. Nice touch. The foreshadowing in this episode was pretty obvious. Kanan is going to die at some point. As for Ezra, it will be interesting to watch... A Kanan and Ezra trip to degobah would blow my mind!

It might clash with Ezra's outfit, but I always wanted to see an orange saber. A color that is dangerously close to dark side red, but still has a wholesome feel to it. I don't remember seeing one in CW or the PT (not to say there weren't any). The blue is kind of iconic for the Jedi, and is aesthetically pleasing to the eye IMO, but something less typical would fit Ezra's personality. But at least the hilt is unique (I love how it has already been unofficially branded as the Staple Gun Saber. Sounds threatening. Lol.).

As far as the budget is concerned, I think that even though it is affiliated with a name such as Star Wars by a company such as Disney, just like any other show it needed a test run before pouring tons of money in to it. I think the show has been a success and I think Disney knows it since they announced a second season pretty early on in season 1's run. I think by the time season 2 is in production, Disney will cushion Filoni's budget quite a bit. I predict we will venture to more exotic locations far more often as well as see many more character models in crowd scenes and such.

In regards to the temple being unguarded, it is a secret temple so the Empire does not know of it's existence yet. Ezra and Kanan had to work together using the force just to gain access to it.

Looks like we found where the season one budget went, this episode. Good episode except the part where Kanan pointed Ezra's lightsaber right at his face at the end, kind of weird. You would think a Jedi would have known better.

This is the same guy who didn't tell Ezra to not aim a lightsaber at his face just before igniting it. I don't think he got a full grasp of weapon safety as a Padawan.

Finally watched the episode last night! I highly enjoyed it! It definitely had it's dark moments, which was great! I agree. A Jedi Temple on Lothal? Seriously? Why not on some other planet that no one knows about instead of a planet that's crawling with Imperials! Anyway, aside from that, the temple itself is actually cool, and the Jedi corpses were a nice touch. Hearing Frank Oz's voice just made me smile. He was, easily, the best part. The second best part was seeing the Dark Side in Ezra. :) Very Anakin like. I actually hope Ezra turns to the Dark Side. :) Another great part was the death scenes of both Kanan and the rest of the Ghost crew. Seeing Kanan get stabbed was cringe worthy and hearing Sabine scream "Ezra help us" and then scream in pain as the Inquisitor kills her was a bit chilling. Also, when Ezra leaves the room as everyone is getting killed, you can see a shadow of Hera falling, and when the Inquisitor comes out of the room, you can see part of Sabine lying on the floor. Yikes! All in all, this was definitely a great episode.

I will be happy, if the Rebels will have a climax with Inquisitor and Kanan during the last episode, because I don't see Ezra being strong and experienced enough to face him and in Season 2, move to somewhere else.

Kanan is gonna die sooner or later, he was the only one shown to be stabbed in the heart. Ezra totally is gonna become more like Kanan if Kanan dies, probably becomes a smuggler or something for the Rebellion, allowing Luke to become the true Jedi and later teach Ezra, and will solve why Luke never learnt from Ezra or Kanan if they are part of the Rebellion too.

Technically speaking, the Ghost crew don't join the Rebel Alliance, nor do they "start" it. They're just a group of vigilantes that draw up support for the Alliance.
