Reshoots - "Things are not looking good."

This guy isn't a Star Wars insider. He hasn't had a positive or insightful thing about Star Wars in years. He know as much as Mike Zeroh about the production.



This article is garbage and it's based on a tweet by someone who currently hates Star Wars and isn't a insider in any way, shape, or form.

 

Happens every single time. Reshoots! It means bad! No it doesn't and it's normal.

 

When there is conflicting information from more reliable sources? Yes, thats a problem.

 

This isn't exactly a throwaway film where you can just "fix it next time" so major reshoots are to be expected.

 

Maybe it’s all a big misunderstanding anyway, and it’s just a rumour about one of the lead characters and a blaster.

He's a random person with no track record of Star Wars scoops saying he has inside source. There's no reason to believe anything he has to say unless you just want to believe it. This is pure clickbait which why garbage factory we got this covered posted it.

 

As for the reasons, that will be left to speculation. The only fact is that re shoots and pickups are common in a movie.



If Mike Zeroh hasn't reported it, I wouldn't be worried

 

Zeroh makes money lying to fans. There's nothing respectable about what he does. He's a liar who makes money lying.

 

This is a common way of doing things in the movie business. Reshoots are always planned way ahead of time. I don't know one single blockbuster movie which didn't have any reshoots.

People who think having reshoots im September is way too late should remind themselves that Rogue One had reshoots in October/November. For example: the infamous Vader scene was shot one month prior release.

 

You should worry if TROS had a troubled production in total like Solo had.

And it actually seemed better than many films without reshoots...

A reshot here and there isn't something worrying. It may mean that they preserved some scenes for the last minute, or that they indeed wanted to change something.

 

I still say that scheduling September reshoots like 3 months ago is not a sign at all that things are in bad shape. They would have reshoots earlier if that was the case. I believe it is more that they had some key items to shoot that they wanted done very late in the process to eliminate the time for leaks. Reshoot late September when you only have about 3 months to keep items secret.

I have questioned MZ’s video titles in the last year, as he is selling products he hasn’t got (as kind as I can put it)

He loves Star Wars. That is abundantly clear, and that’s all I need to know about the fella.

How do you know this? I think there are plenty of people willing to act a certain way to make a buck. MZ sure seems to fit the bill.

 

ok I’ll re-word.. my gut instinct is that the fella loves his Star Wars.

whether he truly does or not.. who gives a smeg? it doesn’t really matter - to me anyway. He’s not running a sweat shop or killing Rhinos

This this was always going to involve a lot of reshoots, JJ has talked about how tight a schedule was when he came in, due to him coming in pretty last minute and doing what by all accounts was a page 1 rewrite of the script. So of course with a lack preproduction time, you are going to have to do more refinement of the story after the main body shooting has been completed.

That doesn't however mean the film is in trouble and even if it is in trouble that doesn't mean they won't end up with a great final product. Just look at Rogue One, the production was a mess but the film great.

Zeroh's not the first person, or will he be the last, making money on youtube talking rubbish... Youtube is a medium designed to exploit people's addiction to content... He's just taking his share of the cake. Let him be.

 

Solo switched directors midway through production; I enjoyed Solo. It doesn't matter how they get there, all that matters is what the final product looks like. At least that's what a fan perspective should look like. If the phrase "things are not looking good" for any of the productions it would have been Solo.
