The problem with Maul in TCW. Is if you are going to bring him back there is no need for Savage Opress his brother. Further I loved the spider it was such a great idea. He was charged and scared but in then he got plain old legs. I loved Drider Maul. Yes he was good in Rebels but they fumbled on bringing him back and then wasted an interesting design.

I find this to be unlikely simply because it means that Snoke didn't act when the Sith did - nor did he act when it appeared that the Jedi were at their weakest. It is also unlikely that he a)knew of the Sith's existence (the Jedi didn't) and b)would appear inferior if the Sith had the impetus to act when he didn't. The only real alternative here is that he has been incapacitated for some time - and is ancient. He may have had no choice but to remain inactive but then something happened that enabled him to join the action again.

I agree 100%. Bringing Maul back was stupid.

Probably is unlikely. I still think it is a possibility that Snoke could be an Abeloth-esque type character that was imprisoned a long, long time ago (maybe by Jedi or Sith). Recently being found by the Empire remnant. He needed someone capable in the force to release him. At the time, the only choice was Luke but he was too powerful to influence so he started to groom Kylo in the womb to eventually one day to release him...... still highly unlikely

Andy Serkis was asked about Snoke today at a gaming expo in the UK, EGX2017 and said that the mystery of Snoke is so close to being revealed and "the cat will be out of the bag" soon.

So looks like we may discover who he actually is after all and sooner than some expected.

I hope that Snoke’s identity is revealed in a movie. I think it would be more of a surprise if they put it in TLJ then just simply telling us

I have " bad feeling "that their intention is to tease with Snoke's origins, not to tell who he is at all. The dillema is most profitable outcome for Disney.
They could tease in TLJ so haevily that it will spark emediate street fights of Plagueis supporters and oposition with police and water canons.:p

Maybe they gave him dialogue that will name-drop Plagueis that will give clear and definitive answers that he is absolutely NOT Plagueis. I mean OTHER than the clear and definitive answers that we have already been given that he is not Plagueis.

Considering popularity of Plagueis, to the extent they were forced to officially deny it, I would not be sure, even if he is not Plagueis, they could tease with it from the economic reasons.
They don't need to deny anything, just tease, and make anticipation of ep IX even more hot.
In this sense official deny of Plagueis was conterintuitive to me in the first place, because people were engaged in theory, and Plagueis made anticipation, debates, vigility, which is good.
And if everyone would be left to believe its Plagueis (which by now mayority would ,if there was no official denial), wouldn't fillm be a great twist if Snoke is not Plagueis?
Why deny in any case and spoil a twist?
    We will see.

    Plausible scenario.

We can presume Palps sent many ,if not all of its private assets and relics with the superstar destroyer Eclipse ("Infinity") to wait in the Unknown Regions.

ehem...you do understand that you just open possibility that Plagueis remains came to the Unknown Regions,do you understand the possible consequences?

What if its was not an urn with ash of his former master, but a..well a coffin, sarcophage?

And the source of Dark side in the Unknown Regions, that strong presence, did something unexpected...

Reformation my friend, reformation. You, a grand persecutor of Plagueites ( that follows even Snoke debates like a Saul , just to be sure it is not another secret cryptic Plagues debate started over) , possibly started Plagueis reformation yourself by the forces of destiny.:p

Irony is tough thing....that is how the Universe works (unrortunately or not) in fact.

I can't help but still hope against the odds that Snoke is Darth Plagueis. First of all I would love that storyline. Maybe he realized Palpatine had become too powerful for him to destroy alone, so he waited in the shadows until Anakin did it for him. That would tie him to the new storyline of someone from the shadows. It would also tie him back to the prequels, which is something we need more of.

I've seen some apparently Leaked info on Snoke - so take it for what its worth.....

Snoke an ancient Sith from the Old Republic era (Disney will use Snoke as a jumping off point to a new series set in that era after Episode IX). He has been entombed for 2,000 thousand years in the unknown region and he is who Palpatine is looking for in the aftermath EU (Someone released him). Snoke sucks the souls of force users to stay alive, think Sith Vampire. Apparently the new red guards are the Knights of Ren, who are/were some of Lukes padawans who went with Kylo when he joined Snoke, who snoke sucked almost dry - they are now kind of zombie-force users Snoke and Kylo can control, thats why he called Kylo the master of the Knights of Ren. He looks better in last Jedi because of this, hes devoured someone bewteen the films or at the start of TLJ. He wants Luke to devour him as sucking the last Jedi dry will fully restore him/get rid of the need for him to feed on them - its also how/why Rey could be important. If she becomes another Jedi.......

Kylo is next on Snokes "menu" but he doesn't know it. This is what Han is warning him of.

Snoke "devouring" force users could be how they kill Leia off. Apparently the near the end of hte movie Snoke has Leia is its implied he is going to devour her, and that story thread is carried over to Episode IX. It'd be easy to have him actually suck her dry in TLJ, and see Luke react to that.

I think you should put this into the "spoiler" tag.
That's how I've always imagined what he would be - some kind of ancient figure that lives of others' Force. That's probably the only way they can make him a force to be reckoned with and give him an interesting backstory.
