Ouf for me is one of the worst :p Just couldn't. I think I turned it off at 40' or something. I felt more they were not making fun and jokes. It seemed the were making fun of viewers.
Marvel in general is not my style. They are specialist in broke tensions and emotions and action sequences with silly gags everywere and overused cgi. Definetly I don't want this in SW.
Natural humor, like HFTWP? yes, here and there. But not forced gags everywhere.

I think the reception of Andor will mark the future of films again. Even Taika's project is still not sure to happen, as he said. Maybe at the end they only pick up some of his ideas to develop another movie.

I prefer my Norse myth more serious, so I avoided it, but my brother's mate saw it and said it was more like Guardians of the Galaxy!

Regarding future films....I've read a few excerpts from Shadow of the Sith, and going by those if they ever do a continuation of Rey's story I shall give it a very wide berth.

I've been saying, John Boyega got shafted in the sequels, it would be great if Finn got the character arc he deserved in a new film.

Hmmm. As much as I'd like to see that happen, I'd be willing to bet money that it won't..........unfortunately.
The closest we'll ever get to that is Finn leading a storm trooper rebellion in Collin Trevorrows scrapped episode nine "Duel of the Fates".

Yeah, it's undeniably a pipe dream, but something I'd like to see. Boyega's a great actor, but he seems done with Lucasfilm, and vice versa. Trevorrow's script was fairly average, but I did think the stormtrooper rebellion was a fitting completion of Finn's arc.

You know. Before I even knew of the plot of his film, there was one thing I was hoping to see. That was for Finn to go back and liberate members of the first order. I really thought it was just a great and original idea for Finn to be a force sensitive ex-storm trooper and to use his new found power to aid him in rebellion against the FO. It could have made for an awesome a## sub plot.

Trevorrow's version would have made Finn relevant, and given him substance, rather than Finn running around in tight pants screaming REY, REY...

Judging by the final scenes of TLJ, it seemed to hint at that...'the war has just begun' followed by a shot of Finn.

Does anyone know why CT was dropped by DLF?

I did hear Waititi was going to make a version of Flash Gordon; as he enjoys lighthearted stuff I think he's the perfect choice for that.

They approved his initial story pitch, but they could never get the script worked out after Fisher died. I think Lucasfilm would have rather delayed the film, but Disney wasn't going to have that.

That is the one of the biggest problems with TROS, I think - that it was rushed. And much of the story took place before the film even started!

I'm disappointed. I was really hoping that Kathleen Kennedy's influence would sharply wane and she would go away, and Favreau and Filoni would take over. Their greater competence is painfully obvious and they should be allowed to push the sequel films out of the canon and give us something much better. However there's nothing I can do about it but what folks did when the Solo movie came out: boycott.

I’ll never understand why SOLO gets dragged into this ST discussion. It’s a stand alone movie and , IMO, the 2nd best Disney SW movie after R1

I apologize that this came out wrong, because I like Solo, but the actual point I intended to make was that people felt helpless in the the face of Disney's apparent tone-deafness and they felt like they needed to do something. Hey, it's better than setting fire to theaters or studios. Sure, the Solo movie itself didn't deserve it, but it was the Disney-Star Wars movie being released at the time and it's the one that took the hit.

Under Favreau and Filoni, you won't get shows like Andor, you'll get more shows like Mando and the Book of Boba Fett... the grass is always greener on the other side.... Filoni created Ahsoka, a Jedi... Andor is devoid of Jedi. Mando is a series with an abundance of fight scenes not slow paced as Andor.

I'm not a fan of Kathleen Kennedy, I'm not on her side at all. ( I disliked TROS ) I just know under her leadership we got some good content and bad content... some just focus on the bad which I think is unfair.

Under Kennedy's regime we got ANDOR AND MANDO

My personal experience whenever I want someone removed from a leadership position is I usually get someone worst than the previous, so I hope Kennedy is here to stay. I hope the rumors that she will depart LFL after Indy 5, are all false.

I don't agree with your position on KK but I do recognize the logic. If anything I'm optimistic. I want FF to head up Lucasfilm. Your so right concerning Favreau. He did save us despite TBOBF. I feel that he understands star wars. He knows what makes star wars tic. I'm very excited for Ahdoka. It's going to kick a##. I'm so curious about the mended armor storm troopers. Even more so the major villains, Baylon and Shin. Live action Ahsoka is waaaayyyy underated. Hopefully she will continue to exilerate. I depend on her to heal me of my Reva wounds. ;) #choppy

The idea that they're going to "push films out of canon" is the product of internet nonsense. It's never going to happen and it's just silly. The ST had issues (not gonna go into that here), but the films were much more well received that the prequels. There are tons of fans who want to see more stories with Rey/Finn/Poe/BB-8/Chewie.

Remember, the internet isn't real life. The internet said no one cared about Avatar and no one would watch the sequel. The internet is not representative of the general film public.

As far as Kennedy, she's one of the greatest producers of all time. The internet's obsession with her is gross. For some reason she never gets credit when something works and when someone doesn't like something she's to blame. She is why we have Mando and Andor. No one is going to have a 100% perfect record. The MCU is experiencing that with many of their projects.

Filoni is rumored to have a hand in the Star Wars project Lindelof is working on right now as the map out the next set of films. If you're not on board to see films with Rey and new heroes post ST I suggest you prepare yourself for disappointment. That's where they're going.

Kathleen is a lightning rod. When things get dicey, she bears the brunt of it. When things are going well, no one is talking about her.

She's proven to be more than capable of weathering any storm the fandom may conjure up.
