That RT user score...

I'm talking about the films reception with the public is very similar to that when TPM came out (not the film). I remember people coming out the cinema and not really knowing what to say, very similar with what i saw the two times I've seen it this week.

I accept Rian and Disney with open arms. ST is soooo far ahead of quality than PT it's much welcomed.

Long ago, the four groups of Star Wars fans lived in harmony; The original fans, the prequel fans (smallest group), the new generation, and everyone else. Then, everything changed when the evil bot empire attacked, brigading TLJ ratings.

You don't see me trying to use that to extrapolate "evidence" to support the idea that it's is only loved and not hated.

Did you really believe that they will openly admit that their systems are being evaded? That would damage their image as a reliable site, so they have to protect the brand. It's something logic do not you think?

 

I think I'm gonna check out on this thread. You have to be disconnected from reality not to see what's happening in the open polls like RT vs. scientific audience scores.

Clearly this film is more decisive than the last one, but we're still looking at 10% of the audience who is really upset. This really isn't even debatable.

 

So it has been confirmed that the guy was truthful? Good. Now, show me the evidence for this.

This thread seem to imply that nobody really disliked the movie except bots, trolls and agents from the alt-right. Despite the fact that we were told that the film would be divisive before it was released.

This can all be fixed if imdb and rotten tomatoes purges the bot reviews

 

Nobody here is implying that only bots and trolls and agents of hydra or whatsoever are disliking the movie, we are talking about that there exist bots in rotten tomatoes ( and metacritic) that might be affecting ( not sure how much) the audience raiting for the movie like we are have been showing. we know that there are people who really dislike the movie, but it does not change the fact that this audience rating is abnormal when compared to other sources such as IMBD, and we compare it with cinemascore (yes TPM got a -A, but unlike TLJ, the prequels got also a terrible criticism, in addition to the bad user review). I do not mention income because Star Wars usually brings them.

Yeah i remember that non answer. Simply saying "there's not logical argument" is a coppout. You wanted an explanation to my "bold claim". I gave it. I pointed out how finn was on a repeat of his arc from TFA. I pointed out how luke was on the same arc he was on from ESB-ROTJ. I pointed out all the narrative threads that are completely ignored. I didn't even get into pointless scenes like rey's cave experience. A scene that were written for no other reason than to set up expectations in order to subvert them.

Instead of slowing down and examining what I said, you just throw a non response at it and call it a day. Really? "unproven" plot holes? Like the plot hole where holdo keeps her plan a secret for no logical reason? Like the plot hole where ghost luke pulls out anakin's saber while kylo ren, who'd just been involved in a tug of war that destroyed the saber, doesn't notice something is up? The RT "Audience Score" is Bantha Poo Doo.

Using IMDB's 140,000+ votes and looking at the them the same way as RT (3.5/5 or greater is "liked" or 7/10 for IMDB).....82% "liked" by IMDB.....

 

Give me one example.
