Dismiss a reddit mod all you like. MSW is a whole other kettle of fish. I don't just dismiss him because it sounds bad.

 

He basically admitted to feeling "like a fraud" because he was posting bad information. While in the same breath boldly proclaims Fiege will replace KK after Indy 5? How can I trust your information, if in the same breath you're saying you feel like a fraud for giving bad information?

 

Jason's sources are the ones telling him his stuff. He's only repeating it. I, for one, give MSW and Jason a lot of time before jumping to the "it's all BS fraudster nonsense".

 

Well maybe he shouldn't trust his "sources" 100 percent of the time and report on it all willy nilly. His excuse that they're using reshoots to shoot new scenes is absurd. Reshoots are not designed to do that.

 

They are mostly just speculating based on some descriptions of concept art again if you ask me.
Then filtering out what is not relevant to the movie as release date approaches and more information - official or otherwise - becomes available and a clearer picture can be constructed.

I can see why people get totally pi**ed off with them, because the language they use implies they know more than they do - and I mean most "leakers" not just MSW.
But it's better to just take it for what it is and read between the BS.
MSW had TFA pretty much down. Did they speculate on a lot of stuff which didn't relate to the finished movie? Yes. But they still had the movie pretty much down as December 2015 came around. And hindsight shows the misleading stuff was based on legitimate sources - ie genuine concept art which was dropped from the movie.
So I'm going pay attention to what they are saying this time around and try to sort out what makes sense and what doesn't in my own mind.

I'd usually avoid Reddit "here's the whole story" leaks like the plague.
The fact MSW is propping him up is the only thing Paxis has got going for him at the moment. And it's starting to unravel a bit now.
Either JP is known to MSW and Ward can vouch for him. Or he has managed to "join the dots" working with what MSW and others have already leaked in such a convincing way that he has even convinced Jason he knows something.
Some of what he has posted sounds pretty ropy to be honest, but - like I say - I give him the benefit of the doubt thus far based purely on JW's endorsement.
Be interesting to see how this pans out either way...

 

I might be wrong but I read most of the TFA leaks on a 4chan thread before MSW reposted it with tweaks

 

Cooling down after last night and rereading these changes. If they are correct nothing about the structure has actually changed. These do sound more like tweaks than change. Am more upset that they are cutting Luke and Leia scenes, to me that makes the situation worse. The rumours of the film made my expectations flimsy at best. Now there is nothing to look forward too.

 

lol, there is no guarantee that these leaks (original and updated) are even correct. To me, it sounds like JP and MSW are covering their asses in the name of "reshoots and editing". So they can't be wrong.

 

Nah am not a believer of its all lies. Am too long in the teeth for that. Leaks do leak. Can a lot of stuff be inaccurate, yep, sure. Besides the film is changing all the time. I am sorry I don't have your confidence to say that this is all fake. In a way, I wish I was more confident like you are, to totally say its all utter rubbish.

After Mustafar 2.0 last week, I'm sitting out the actual discussion of leaks, but I'm all in for the debate about their validity.


Its my last go, might as well enjoy that part of the ride.

 

Typically reshoots aren’t designed to to that but for Rogue One the reshoots changed the movie quite a lot

 

I'll just pretend I didn't read any of this and wasn't about to pop a vein thinking about it. And if it ends up being true, I'll pretend that I didn't see the movie, that the saga ended with TLJ. Denial is the only way to deal with this abomination, I refuse to catch fire because of a movie, not today, not this year! I "suffered" enough because of Prometheus in 2012, I REFUSE!

 

You are not alone. There are people who hated the PT so bad that it does not exist to them. My wife always declines to watch those three films. She thought TFA was boring, fell asleep watching TLJ and still hasn't seen the remaining 2 hours.... couple of weeks ago, I told her she's coming with me to see the last one in theater.... in the name of Alfred and his love of giant rubies. She just laughed.

 

I'm sure once upon a time I saw ten minutes of a Friday the 13th movie and was mildly entertained. However, I do not go around telling people I'm a Friday the 13th fan and getting upset when the movie does exactly what all Friday the 13th movies do. My point is, if someone, you or your wife, have hated everything related to star wars for 36 years. I mean THIRTY SIX BLEEPING YEARS IS A LONG GOD DAMN TIME. Then you don't really like star wars. You or your wife may have liked star wars once, it's okay to not like something. I liked a lot of things at 12 I think are stupid now. its okay to let things go.

She's been mad about the prequels for all these years? I admire her commitment, that's going to be me with Prometheus in a few years. Not with Star Wars though, because this abomination here is someone's hallucination on bad medication!

 

I enjoy reading all the 'leaks', it builds my excitement for the film. Some of the wrong leaks for TLJ were better than the film though

 

Not mad. She just doesn't watch them with me.

When I have them on, she won't stop for anything in TPM that doesn't involve Qui Gon Jinn & only likes the VERY end of ROTS, because babies & sunsets.

I take all the so-called "Leaks" not seriously. Sure a few of the leaks will have some validity to them, but most of them don't have any character context to the scene. More or less they are descriptions of characters in a location or a minor plot reveal. I think any major plot or character reveals will not be leaked. The only true spoiler plot leak I remember was Han Solo's death in TFA and Chirrut Imwe death (spoiled by actor Jian Wen at Star Wars Celebration 2016), but how their death happened was not revealed to me prior to the movies.

Here is my take about the leaks: Most will be hogwash. Maybe one or two will have validity. I will bet that we will not see a young version of any of the legacy characters. Anakin will not show up in the TROS, Darth Vader will be mentioned though. Audio versions of Obi-Wan and Darth Vader could possibly appear through the force to Rey or Kylo. General Leia's scenes will be very short and sparse, but she will be referenced throughout the film by the other characters. Luke will have one or two visible scenes with Rey and maybe Kylo. Luke will be mostly heard by Rey and not seen, very much like Obi-Wan in the battle of Yavin in ANH. I don't think we will get any mention of Ahsoka Tano. I would love to see all the familiar Jedi as Force Ghosts at the end of the film much similar to Return of the Jedi's ending. I am intrigued to find out if "The Rise of Skywalker" title is a literal meaning or a symbolic meaning. I guess we will find out in 71 days.
