    One of my favorite quotes about the incident takes place in the next episode when the Armorer proclaims that the Mudhorn shall serve as his signet.
    Mando: I must decline. It wasn't a noble kill. I was helped by an enemy.
    The Armorer: Why would an enemy help you in battle?
    Mando: It...(slightly hesitating) ...did not know it was my enemy.

    Today I just want us all to remember Mando's very first appearance in the very first episode, as posted by @Lazarus Dei...

    And now think about this nice echo in chapter 3 when Mando swaggers into the cantina on Nevarro with his drippy new duds:

    T'minus Day 32 and counting...

    Greef Carga's character arc. I'll admit, I never really thought about it much when Seasons 1 and 2 were first aired. But as I'm been rewatching stuff in anticipation for Season 3, I've been struck by the transformation in Carl Weathers' character. He went from an underworld bounty hunter 'boss' to a magistrate. How'd that happen? It's because of little Grogu and his "hand thingy." Once Grogu healed his deadly wound, Greef's outlook completed changed. He had intended to set Mando up for an ambush but he couldn't follow through on it after The Kid saved him.

    One of the cool underlying themes of the show has been how one person (no matter how small or cute) can change the people around him.

    I love how he went from the shady ally, to the bad guy, to the shady ally, to the good guy. Not many folks in Star Wars get a redemption and live to tell about it. His wardrobe keeps getting better too.

    Way to battle hardened. He ain't playing games. I don't think he would accept a deal from Vader. He'd pretty much accept torcher/death. He'd probably give Vader/the Empire the middle finger with pride and no side deals.

    Well, he did accept a deal from The Client and much like Lando he wound up aiding an escape and becoming a target himself... Now, season 3 Greef, you're probably right about how he would respond. Of course now he has an army of Mandalorians to back him up.

    BTW- The Client deserves a proper Star Wars name. Dammit, Jon and Dave, if you're reading this, you need to posthumously give this character a name!
