    Guys I want a trailer as much as the next guy, and I want one soon. I just don't see Force Friday as being this big thing that we want it to be. I mean it is a bunch of toys being sold and an unboxing event. I mean I hope I am wrong I just don't know if I see it coming.

    My guess, after today's snippet was released, is that it lands next Thursday at 11AM EST when the force Friday youtube event ends at Lucasfilm. This will be sufficient time to get the hype train rolling all day. It would have 100 million views by midnight.

    It's crazy to think that one little troll thread on this forum ended up being responded to by a senior editor at EW! I have to say, as pointless as that thread seemed, it definitely gave the OP some claim to fame. If I was a troll, I would be honored by the publicity an effortless post got me in a matter of hours. Haha. Oh well. I guess that means more speculating on when the next trailer is going to release.

    The three theoretical dates for this are as follows: August 28, September 4, and sometime between September 20 - October 10.

    Why I say August 28 is the fact that they teased something so tiny today to showcase Instagram's new horizontal video feature first of all, but to also give us the tiniest sneak peek wanting more. Who's to say that they won't do what they have done in the past again and release a trailer tomorrow?

    September 4 - Force Friday is already happening and what better way to kick off the big merchandise sales than with a massive trailer hyping everyone to go out and buy new merchandise three months before the movie even hits the big screen.

    September 20 - October 10 - The JJ Abrams "SDCC Fall Theory" - Still the most likely, but maybe debunked after today's two new scenes unveiled in the Instagram footage.

    Any more thoughts on this? Post your responses below.

    Sept 4th seems like if they wanted to do for Force Friday, but everyone says its a good date. The 2nd is when they are doing the big unboxing and stuff. Also the 4th here, is late when most of the world already had their big day.

    My simple guess is 10 September...

    It is the NFL kick off, Aftermath novel comes out... and it's 99 days until release...

    OR....

    it could be 3 at midnight... as it's force Friday and the First trailer hit 28 November, second one 140 days after that, if the third one was another 140 days after that then it would be 3 September..

    However... I could (and probably will) be wrong...

    I believe the day before Force Friday or NFL Kickoff would be great venues. However, NFL is not global and not everyone watches it. They are going to drop the trailer for everyone to see as they already have with the past two trailers and we will probably not know when this one comes out similar to no one expecting the Instagram trailer. Could we see it sooner or later? Thoughts on this?

    Trailer #1 will be released on December 18th, 2015. New concept in movie marketing. Releasing trailers AFTER the movie is out. Quantum Trailer theory suggests that hype can move backwards across the timeline. The hype we are feeling now is actually ourselves in the future projecting hype to our former selves.

    I can honestly say that that is one of my all time favorites! The freakin' editing in that trailer is amazing. Love the shot where Luke backs out of the way from laser fire. And Han getting tortured! Where did this trailer come from?
