I have to retreat my statement. It wasn't in the Concept art book but in a BTS video.

My biggest concern about the KoR is that, after being given such a bad ass design and everyone believing they are a strong force of specialists, they quickly die very disappointing and lame deaths. We have seen this done in countless movies, including SW movies - Boba Fett in ROTJ; Palpatine killing multiple Jedi Masters in seconds when Mace and others came to arrest him. It always pisses me off when Directors short change strong characters like this.

As for the KoR betraying Kylo, I don't really see it. I could see them trying to kill Kylo after the turns away from the dark side and becomes a light sider, but that is Kylo betraying them, not the other way around. (BTW, I hope this doesn't happen because I really don't want to see Kylo be redeemed.) All the talk about the KoR betraying Kylo is just fan speculation, which I don't believe is supported by anything official we have seen.

Also, I don't really want to see much personification of the individual Knights. I like it better when characters like this are mysterious killing machines, not people to be understood.

I see I'm not the only one hoping for a KOTOR series(or at least 1 movie). But the 2022 film is supposed to be the 1st of RJs trilogy - right? He already said - not sure of the specific phrasing - that essentially there's no chance of it being anything remotely related to the KOTOR. That was back when his trilogy was first announced. So maybe things have changed since then.

I thought I saw an article recently that said there is a separate KOTOR project in the very early planning stage.

 

The 2022 movie is the first Benioff and Weiss movie.

As far as the KOR, MSW has stated in the past that while they are unsure if the KOR are force users, that they have heard they have special abilities (that was not the exact term they used but that was the implication)

I've never seen GOT. I have seen several instances where it was called "Porn and Dragons"

So what should we expect?? "Lightsabers and Dragons"? .....

My one real hope for the KoR is that they have an actual role and presence in the movie and aren't just cameos or background characters. Star Wars has a history of this with similar types of characters, look at the Red Guards in RotJ and the Praetorian Guards in TLJ. I haven't looked up any spoiler type stuff, so Idk if it's been confirmed or hinted at what they might be, but I think it'd be cool if they were former students of Luke's academy that either sided with Kylo or joined him later on; but I wouldn't mind them just being elite non-Force users too. Really, I just hope they have an actual role in the story and aren't just there to look cool or used as fodder like Stormtroopers. It'd also be cool if they're somehow linked with the Vader worshipers (I forgot the group's name) that appeared in a few of the interludes in the Aftermath trilogy.

I actaully had the thought of B&W making a trilogy about the first Jedi (and Sith) who are riding dragons. xD

 

This has always bugged me. Kylo took some of Luke's students. Who? What happened to them? If Luke was training them, they had potential to be Jedi. If they are the KoR, why aren't any of them seen with lightsabers? This mention of other students going (being taken?) with Kylo seems like it should be a bigger deal that it has been made to be onscreen. Did they go willingly? Why would anyone else turn on Luke? Was Ben's version of the story enough to get others to go along with it? Kill other students? This is just a mess to me.

 

How about KoR being ACTUAL students of Luke's Jedi academy, betrayed and slaughtered by their informal leader Kylo, after he had turned to the dark side?

If this is the case, I'm afraid we'll see them only in flashbacks.

I hope the KoR is worth the wait because I feel like JJ has to play catch up when they weren't in TLJ.

 

I’m not sure how much we are going to get of the Knights of Ren. I suspect we are not going to get much backstory on them which is what I feel like most people are wanting
