My goodness, this sounds like something written thirty years ago. Love Carrie, Daisy and Gwendoline, but for pity's sake, can't we get back to the story? It just sounds so silly in 2015. This reporter needs to step into the 21st century.

Seriously, girl, things were a lot worse when I was a kid. Grab a pair of high heels or combat boots, put on some lipstick, make your mark on the world & for the love of God, quit whining about who has what role.

Because Jedi aren't politicians and that has never been and really, should not be their job. We already know her part in the new trilogy has her as the mon mothma.

 

I'm not sure this is quite accurate, I think consular and ambassadorial duties definitely fall under the sphere of politics and jedi certainly performed this kind of duties.

In what way? Mon Mothma was a political leader of both the rebel alliance and the new republic. General Leia is the leader of the resistance which is a military organization. Jedi have clearly filled the role of military leaders.

Look I'm not saying Leia is going to be jumping around with a lightsaber performing acrobatic feats but the idea that she is not going to be a jedi while possible is completely unfounded.
What possible reason could she have not to develop her abilities?
Whether she is more of a politician or military leader she has all to gain and nothing to loose by becoming a jedi. And you are forgetting that Leia has always been in the thick of action as well.

I kind of think that's what this is, as well. It looks like the lower part of her dress is black, or she's holding something. Rey leaves right afterward.

In my opinion, TFA had better give Han a real hero's send-off, there should not be a dry eye in the house. In my imagination it's a mirroring of the medal ceremony from ANH. Perhaps Leia is given the equivalent of a folded flag.

It would be terrific if Luke would show up but I won't hold my breath on that one.

I agree. I hope that all of this is not true. When I was out today, I was thinking about Han and Leia's fates. If they're true, it's so tragic. She finds her daughter or niece. Her son is evil. Gets reunited with Han then loses him. And both of them lose their child or children all before this happens? So sad... Not a way to have Harrison Ford bow out of the series if he gets killed by his son. Not liking this...If he doesn't appear in the next film (I don't believe he will anyway due to saying his "one last time in the costume"), he should've be written out without being killed, especially by a relative if all that is true...
