ABC FAMILY is showin something today, too , how can I watch that footage ?

 

Thirty years since ROTJ. 29 years since the Battle of Jakku. I think Battlefront established it as the date for that battle. Lost Stars also ends then, about three years ABY.

Though, of course, the Empire doesn't call it 3 ABY.

 

I hope Leia doesn't sit behind the battle for too long, I would like to see her get involved.

 

She'll fight off attackers with her light saber .

 

I agree I would like to see her in the thick of it like this.

 

Could you actually imagine Xarrie Fisher (2015) doing that ?

 

Maybe a double with a good face template could step in & let Carrie have the single strike of the guard before stepping back, I know it sounds like I'm pushing her pacemaker to the limit but Ian did it when GL asked him to fight Samuel L Jackson in their duel & Ian delivered.

Although.... considering what people in the Star Wars universe wear at funerals...



But yeah I can't see Leia wearing something that fancy for a funeral or anything but a big celebration, considering her wardrobe in Empire and Jedi (and the fact that she seems to wear military duds most days now).

That doesn't discount Han's death, though. We saw parades and big celebrations right after Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan's deaths, too. If anything, the dark color at a celebration might indicate Leia is in mourning but trying to do her duty as the Resistance's leader at the same time.

I don't think you will see Leia pull out the sabre and go all form 3 on someone. However I do think you will see her blaster and I would not be surprised if she tosses around Jedi mind tricks liberally.

 

I think that it would be cool to see a light saber in Leia's jacket that we will briefly glimpse .

 

I never got the impression that Leia was going to be a light sabre slinging jedi. Funny. I mean I am one of the apparent few who like Yoda's happy fun ball style lightsabre duels but I just never figured Leia with a sabre even with that PS2 fighting game that had her dressed as Boschh with a sabre pike. I did always see her as growing stronger in the force though.

 

I meant because someone posted a comic that's canon of her wielding a light saber that looks to be an original design, so maybe we see it with her as a nod / Easter Egg .

she is better as a leader I believe as that is her path
