TLJ Second Trailer. When and Where ??

The "trailer anxiety" is reaching a tipping point. Someone needs to get on twitter and convince RJ to do us all a solid and release some new footage, and quick!

If only Lucasfilm knew... They probably pay people good money to compile all of those dates and events to help determine the perfect, strategic moment to drop a trailer. Someone should just direct them to this forum.

 

Not one of my better jokes I'll grant you that. Calling for a mailroom person to be fired in a message board post is pointless, and doing that and being serious about firing two people as powerful (and connected within the Illuminati) as JJ & KK is definitely pointless.

Unlike the "kick her down the stairs twice" remark (which cmon, that's funny), it wasn't obvious I was kidding, and on message boards that's problematic. It happens. My bad, KK.

I know for a fact LFL has employees who are cantina members. And RJ gets at least 500 questions a day about releasing the trailer.

If we don't get a trailer next Wednesday then we are getting it in October... we should definitely get it 2 months before the film is released.

It was ment more as a joke. But some one might ask him, even though he probably wont reveal the release date that is ..

 

It is still too early. September for a trailer just doesn't feel right just yet. October has my money.

 

I'm not expecting anything until October. That way, everything in between is an surprise to me ..

As far a foreshadowing I know a bit more than I posted. I tend to not post all that I know because I'm getting it second hand. So sometimes the things I know are partially true, but thw details arent perfectly clear and some times things get changed. So instead of being a mike zero kinda guy I would rather hold back more often. Than not.

That makes sense, and I figured as much based on your previous posts. One thing I have wondered for over a year, is if Lucasfilm knows which employees are talking to people such as yourself and Jason Ward? I mean, surely they have some kind of idea as to which employees are leaking information?

 

They do certain things to see what get's out. So from time to time they figure it out I'm sure. I don't know where MSW get the info they do. My info isn't coming from LFL specifically. Originally, when I started posting here I had a guy that I used to work and is a decent friend who was a VFX contractor on TFA. But I hear things from a couple of other friends in the industry that have different roles not within LFL so when we get together at events or playing some video game online or just hanging out when one of us is in one city or the other. We will share info back and forth about projects we are working on. I rarely go out of my way to ask them directly about star wars things. I figure if the conversation goes that direction great and they want to share things great, but if not I don't bother them with it. They do the same thing with me now that I am out of the VFX world and now that I am in the start up tech world. Another reason why I sometimes don't have all the info just bits and pieces. Becuase I'm not trying to get a scoop from my friends.

Have you recently acquired new information? I think you had recently said you were pretty sure it would happen in later part of August.

A monday night football thing again? If so that would make sense that it would be in September rather than October. There are 2 games in September that I would think they would much rather drop it with than any game in October.

On the 18th - Det at NY giants... Big market of New York and all its fans

The next week on 25th - Dallas at Arizona... Cowboys fans all over US and elsewhere so this would be my guess if it is in September and premiering the same way as TFA trailer

Then they could drop their first teaser for Solo in October since that will be 8 months out from release.
