SPECULATION Where's C-3PO?

I half joked in another thread about his fate, but now I wonder....... Anthony Daniels had a cryptic tweet when he wrapped filming last year and said at celebration he 'survived' 6 films.....hmmmm.
R2 looks quite distressed with Luke in the trailer campfire. Is this the end for c3po? BB8 becomes R2s 'little brother' shadow so to speak?

 

I don't see how you could justify his death when he's been dismembered on a number of occasions and been able to recover fully.

 

Yep the TESB is a example, Chewie had to do the rebuilding process.

 

I, too, mentioned in another thread that I was worried for Threepio based upon what AD said at Celebration and his Twitter. Either way, it'll be cool to get a glimpse of him soon.

What if the ewoks were right? What if 3PO is the God of GFFA?! Anakin thought he built him, but really he built a body for the God to inhabit and, since then, 3PO just stumbled about having a laugh for a while (being a God is tough, so he fancied a break). The ST is just about him taking back the reins and using his power to torment R2 and pull Chewie's arms off.

I don't care where C3PO is as long as his dialogue is well written and funny . He is one of those rare comic relief characters that actually works.

Even though they goofed around with him a little to much in the prequels i still enjoyed the way Daniels delivered his lines with perfection.Like when he is laying under a battle droid "Excuse, im trapped ....i can't get up?" He is so ridiculously polite in the midst of all the chaos .

I just think the OT droids aren't in the film too much, but could play a major role in advancing the plot.

Yep Indie is working how he got here.

 

C3PO's strange red arm-hand is hard to explain, .
The Mexican Pepsi can art has NOT been discredited or denied so I guess it's legit.
I'm sure in 30 years, there's a funny story there. Maybe C3PO & R2 somehow wind up in Maz's camp-scrapyard on Jakku for 30 years. Then Rey & Finn bring them back to Leia-Resistance forces. With the aid of Han & Chewbacca.
Both droids look a tad rough & dirty in some released set pics. I doubt C3PO was in diplomatic jobs or upscale locales.

 

I have heard it suggested that Daniels character got reduced because of how much of an a-hole he is.
