That's a new one. Don't know where you might have heard that, but it's highly doubtful.

i am the only one that voted for C3PO being on a solo mission, not that i beilive he is, but it is a very intreauging thought, C3PO being the most anxious droid in the whole star wars universe. Seeing him on a solo mission , constantly worrying about everything & with noone to hold his hand through perils makes a very comic picture :) it would probably not be good for the story in ep.7 , but what if we get a stand alone movie about the droids, i know Lucas had an idea about a movie only about the droids...

Last stuff I read suggest both the OT droids are with Leia and make their first appearance right around the time she does. Because R2 must save everyone's skin at least once in every film, by rule, I wager it R2 that largely figures out the alleged puzzle embedded in the saber. :)

I love 3PO, always have, I argue he's a key reason why the opening act of IV works so well. The quest begins largely through his perspective, which is one of bewilderment and confusion.

I always thought there was a Bert / Ernie dynamic to 3PO and R2, but I digress horribly. My point there however is both characters are richer when they are together and less interesting when separated.

3PO is best in the OT, the character has some great scenes with Chewie and Han Solo as well as R2. I'm hoping he gets character scenes rather than the slapstick of the PT.

I highly doubt AD was a "a hole" on the TFA set.
Daniels spoke to the faculty & students of www.DAVEschool.com and was very polite/professional. He & a few VIPs toured the updated Star Tours attraction at Walt Disney Hollywood Studios in Florida.

AD is also a guest lecturer & special advisor to CMU's digital studios in Pittsburgh PA. He's been in the position for several years.
All the buzz & TFA stuff he puts out sounds +.

There have been rumours over the years about most of the SW actors being unfriendly or difficult to work with at times, I expect there's a grain of truth in most stories but it might just be that they managed to annoy one person on set one day, or they were having a bad day because they had to be in an uncomfortable costume for hours on end - and that one person they were a bit brusque with tells someone and then the gossip amplifies whatever the incident was. There can't have been anything much, we aren't talking Bette Davis or Joan Crawford where the stories were many and witnessed by several people.

In Anthony Daniels case, the fact is he has been invited back so many times to SW (more than any other actor I think), when he could easily have been replaced by another voice actor if they wanted to. By that logic I think he must be at least professional in his work - and let's face it, they wouldn't have him representing the franchise at events like the official SW convention if he wasn't trusted.
