SPECULATION Who's in the BACTA tank??

I think it would be pretty cool to see Vader as just a torso floating in the tank with a giant respirator on his face. Fully conscience and having a conversation with whoever it is that is kneeling before the tube. It could be a good introduction to show where Vader is at character wise during the OT, then the next time we see him he is in full Vader costume.

Basically Vader would look like Darth Malgus inside the tank.

 

He actually isn't just a torso...if you watched ROTS again, he still has parts of his legs and arm where his arm was cut off right above the elbow and his knees were cut off right above the legs.

 

Details, details, either way I think it would be interesting to see a highly disfigured Vader. Basically we see what is actually left of his human side. Might drive home that statement by obi-wan that he was more machine than man at that point.

 

What I find really weird is that in the S3 finale of Rebels where Ashoka is fighting Vader and she cuts off a part of his mask. When the camera cuts to him, we can see Anakin like he was before he was disfigured on Mustafar except with his "Sith eyes ." Does that mean he's not really that disfigured anymore or what?

 

Your guess is as good as mine, the only thing I can think of is that if you had only watched the clone wars show previously, before watching rebels, it would be a way to make him recognizable to the audience. I know that both shows are considered cannon but I don't think they will cross over into the movies. I think they did that only for story telling purposes and to not confuse anyone who maybe hasn't seen RotS.

 

It doesn't seem all that standalone when you consider its main plot is directly linked to a major part of Episode 4's story and when it has one of the major characters from that and later movies.

Well according to makingstarwars.com Vader is in the Bacta Tank "The sequence was filmed in which Darth Vader gets his limbs interchanged and repaired in the movie" Also there is a rumor that the Rogue One production recreated Darth Vader’s meditation chamber from The Empire Strikes Back!

 

When part of cadets mask is torn off you can see anakin's face from ROTS underneath instead of him being burnt.

 

Sources familiar with Rouge One have confirmed that Darth Vader is in the bacta tank. He has apparently lost all his limbs and is getting new ones. What do you think about this? Why do you think he is getting new limbs?

Maybe it's simple wear and tear and he's either getting upgrades and/or a tune up .

Um... A friendly advice: If you're sharing a spoiler you should probably not put the spoiled information in the tipic's title... That kind of defies the purpose of marking it as (SPOILER) for people who don't want to read spoiler posts I suggest you change the name of the post to "(SPOILER) The guy in the tank confirmed" or something.

 

That's a lot of spoilers for a spoilery post .

 

So I think Darth Vader will have a fight at the end of Star Wars Rebels season 3 that leaves him with a lot of injuries and going into Rogue One he is recovery in the early parts of the movie. This would be a good way to tie the series in with the movie and not really do or say a whole lot for people to catch the tie in. Just a thought

 

But then that would lead to the questions of Revels characters in R1.

 

Vader in the Bacta tank seemed to be the most obvious thing to come to my mind when I saw that in the trailer.
