"You still want to kill me...." What does Kylo Ren mean?

Although it would have been cooler to have Rey FLY in Luke Skywalker's Old-X-Wing to Bless You .

 

That's how Kylo flirts. He will improve. You'll see.

 

And then he will realize that he's fleeting with his own family .

Yet he's trying SO HARD to be like his grandfather .

 

That is if we presume (as I do) that they are not cousins or siblings...The thing between Luke and Leia was because Lucas still didn't know they were twins...This time they know, so Kylo's fascination (the beginning of a crush) is quite intentional...That bridal carry was there for a reason. (He could have easily asked for the nearby troopers to carry her to the ship just as he did with Poe)...And then taking off the mask for her (and basically for us as well) was a very Han Solo "who's scruffy looking" kind of moment...Kylo has got the feels for Rey for sure...but it was subtle and many people seem to have missed the message...Rey also has the tiniest bit of small moments when she is "attracted" to Kylo according the script. And in the movie it's interesting to see how Rey sort of follows him with her eyes as if she has forgotten what the situation is and secretly gives him a look or two. It's actually kind of cute despite the fact that she is tied to a table and is mind-probed...I'm very intrigued with how exactly they will proceed to develop all that very interesting relationship these two have already formed...On the surface she of course hates him, but I'm seeing some conflicted reactions from her already...As for Kylo, I think he is quite smitted already...

I think that it would be REALLY INTERESTING if Rey ends up not being (blood) related to Kylo Ren and they both end up together .

 

I saw the movie already knowing in advance (because of the leaks) what the plot is and I sort of thought that they are set up to be brother and sister, which would have provided enough conflict for their relationship. But after I saw the efforts made to present Kylo as his most attractive, L'Oreal hair, etc. look and his smoldering "sexy" eyes, the way he behaved so very differently towards her only, the way he looks at her with admiration, his absolutely sincere offer to be her teacher, etc. I immediately went 180 degrees and I'm pretty certain that we are being shown is part of Kylo's redemption arc involving a romance with Rey...I will be hugely surprised if it doesn't go that way. If made well, a romance between the two will "bring balance to the force" and good symmetry with the movies...

 

The only awkward part would be is if they're cousins .

 

Yes, that would be awkward, but I don't think so...

 

Maybe in SW falling for first cousins is normal .

 

I think Ren has a fascination with Rey, but I didn't see anything reciprocal from her in either the book or the movie. The energy between them was likely the force and not a romantic charge. I can see him getting an obsession with her, but he's going to have to do a whole hell of a lot of self-improvement before Rey would be able to see him as anything other than a monster who killed her substitute father and maimed the only friend she's ever had.

 

Too controversial for US audience...Will not be done...

 

He probably has a feeling about her and, as you said, is curious about her...what if that he considers her a science experiment...Imagine "She's All That" except with Kylo and Rey and Snoke .

I agree, on the surface he has done so far nothing to earn her "romantic" attention so far...On the contrary...But she is already reacting a bit even without herself wanting to - It's very subtle and many people have indeed missed the hidden very tiny clues...

The, "You're a monster" in the forest was said to him I think because for a tiny moment she thought he is not. It was both said to wound him and also kind of said to herself I think...Also, I think in ep. 8 Rey will learn something about Kylo?Ben Solo that will drastically change for her (and us) the way we see him...

This is of course all speculation, but I really think although very very subtle and small there is some conflict in Rey about her.

She slashed his face for a reason...

 

Oh man, that should be the next SNL skit.

We'll have to agree to disagree on this . I've seen the movie 8 times as of today and don't think I missed anything in this scene. And yeah, the book has her looking at him, but I saw it more as a curiosity and wariness thing, not a romantic thing at all. He wasn't what she expected under the mask, but I don't think she suddenly had the tingles for him.
