Of course. I don't think she does feel anything "romantic" either. At least not consciously...yet. But, it's pretty obvious he is already quite fallen for her (pun intended), so to speak...

Rey is into bad boys .

 

Well, my "psychoanalytical analysis" about her slashing his face is that she found that she liked it and she was angry with herself for that as she was enraged with him - hence the revenge slashing sort of saying "You think you are good-looking huh, let me make you less good-looking then"...Female psychology is that...(I would have done precisely that for someone I found attractive despite what I think about him and we were in that universe having to fight with lightsabers, that is...). I also think it is the same psychology behind her telling him "You are a monster". She knows she will hurt him and she does it because she knows it.
These two are very interesting to watch. She hates him without doubt, but she is also a bit confused even as of now...The thing with attraction is that your body tells you something and your mind may say the opposite. They already have a lot in common. Kylo understands her loneliness and despair, because he is also lonely, also he knows about the force and since we know that during the fight she was already heavily tempted by the Dark side she may find a way to relate to his conflict...Not to say, that she also managed to see in his mind...I think in ep. 8 they will both be able to sense each other, possibly even from a distance...Something happened in that interrogation that will evolve...At least that's my take...

 

I agree. I think Ben has a lot of Han in him, that is why he is so conflicted about his father (He says was "weak and foolish like his father" when he says he has "destroyed" Ben) . But it is a lot of other Han's qualities that I think Ben has. And I'm sort of hoping we will somehow see those...I'm really very sorry that the scene where Kylo entered the Millennium Falcon on SKB and "has a moment" there in his father's ship was deleted in the final cut...That would have been very important scene to keep. From the other deleted scenes I know about, to delete that one was a mistake...



Also to add to your previous comments. No "kissy romance" no, but intense, conflicted feelings that are surprising, unexpected and intense would be good I think...And Kylo has shown he doesn't lack snarky humor ("The droid...stole a freighter?", etc.) so I wouldn't mind to see that play out, but I frankly don't see how exactly...But for instance, Kylo and Rey could find themselves alone somewhere and have to work together to survive and despite Rey's animosity she sees him in a more normal light and they have a chance to interact...(The situation when Han and Leia had to hide in the asteroid field was sort of a crucial pause for establishing the romance between them...Leia was still snarky when they entered the asteroid field but by the end Han had already "cornered" her and kissed her and basically made her admit her feelings for him to herself...something like that...)

 

They're basically FORCED to work together in order to survive ...

There will never be "An extended Version" if JJ Abrams has anything to do with it .

 

Unfortunately yes, JJ Abrams has already been asked about it and said that there will be no extended cut. The deleted scenes will be added separately...

 

Which is normal but yeah .

 

Actually you're gonna have to say "never" because the standard law for movies is that the director usually gets "first refusal rights" to any and all forms of "Directors cuts" and first edits .

 

The thing is, if the deleted scenes are not in a official cut of the movie, are they canon? Hm...(There is also that scene with Maz using the Force on some troopers which would have changed things a lot about what we know about the Force and its users...)

 

They are canon...all it means is that we filled in the blanks in our heads since SW happens in real time we don't see every minute detail of the lives and world of SW .
