pretty sure it's referring to the pain. she's struggling against him, so i'm not sure what else he would be trying to reassure her about.

i think the "i feel it too" is equally brilliant because that's the first clue to her that she can turn it back on him.

Han's Death scene because it incorporated so many elements. Han dying because he was being "selfless", Leia because she felt it from across space, Chewie's anguished cry (you could actually hear anger in it), how the light disappeared from the Sun symbolizing Kylo's full commitment to the Darkside, Kylo's being emotionally torn (and believable), and how Finn and Rey stood above it all back lit, foreshadowing how they would be standing against Kylo in the future. It was a great scene.

My other scene is Finn telling Kylo "Come and Get it". Very 300 ish to me, the valiant stand against insurmountable odds, with no fear. Love it.

When Rey calls the light saber to her and ignites it

The actual FORCEBACK images were intriguing and operated well to provide both powerful information and added mystery. My problem with it, however, is it seemed to come about in a rushed and random fashion. We're not talking about a mysterious old Yoda sending Luke into a scary cave on a creepy planet.... This is young lady who goes down some stairs in a bar--I kind of wish they made Maz's castle or its catacombs more creepy or mystical to better set up the unusual visions Rey experienced.

Personally, I liked Rey's growth in the force as the movie's best scenes, with the most powerful being her force grab of the lightsaber over Kylo's reach (and subsequent butt kicking of Kylo).

When Rey is cleaning her goods before she trades them with Unkar, she looks at an old women who is cleaning her stuff. Does anyone know who that old woman is? Is it the same women who warns Anakin that there's a "storm coming" in the Phantom Menance? Why is Rey so interested in this particular woman? Why does it make her smile? How did you interpret this scene?

It makes her smile because the woman gives her s dirty look for staring and it scares Reu into going back to work .

she realizes that will be her in 40 years if she sits around waiting on Jakku for her "family". she only smiles to pretend she's not staring. her look is actually one of horror.

"Don't be afraid, I feel it too" Or does it also refer to 'being afraid'? Is Kylo Ren afraid? hmmmm Pain is more likely perhaps.

Great! You read that subtext very well. But would you reckon its the same woman as in the phantom menace?

well we know Ren is just a bundle of fear, but he wouldn't admit that to a captive. he might admit the pain, though ~ not just because he can't help being compassionate, but as a way of saying hey man, i'm tough.

Another scene (that I liked, not so much powerful but because of the artistry) was the scene were you various scavengers walking along the desert at sun set (presumably) to their homes and the land is entirely flat for miles around. I felt like it helped illustrate (without any words) just how bleak and empty an existence Rey had on Jakku. That this was the sum of their lives, to scavenge, and to go home. It kind of compliments Rey staring up at ships flying into space, and why she wears the Rebel helmet... she knows there has to be "more than just this".

I also liked how the flower in her AT-AT home linked into the scene where she sees the green world of Takodana for the first time from the cockpit of the Falcon and says that she didn't know there was this much green in the whole galaxy. At the same time that scene compliments with the scene you just described above: the bleak and empty existance of Rey on Jakku.
