Your most powerful scene in the film?

Yeah I think they did a very good job of establishing how much of the galaxy is new to her. Considering she's gone from small time scavenger on a lonely planet, to galaxy gallivanting super hero, I'm surprised she's not more overwhelmed. They may want to touch on that more in Episode 8 (but given they have so many elements to deal with, I wonder if they'll have time)

 

She's probably still in shock after experiencing so much in a matter of s couple of days .

 

As soon as Han and Chewie split up I knew he was going to die

 

It would make sense if she was, I just don't think they've illustrated it yet (or maybe it's part of the movie that hit the cutting room floor to shave down the duration of the movie)

My Reaction: WHOOO S*** She's a skywalker!

I know she may not be a skywalker but there were so many hints pointed to it.

 

It's like how whn you've experienced something traumatic, you have a lot adrenaline running through you...I bet that once she calms down her emotions will hit her. HARD.

 

Definitely when Ben kills Han. Everyone says they saw it coming and I probably should have too. It's strange but for some reason it was a total shock and surprise to me. Maybe I expected to see a struggle but nothing more? Maybe I thought Ben would just leave him? But I think what it really is that he's Han Solo he can't die! And the fact that his son killed him makes it that much worse!

As a scene though found it incredibly powerful and pivotal. Others have mentioned the tears in Ben's face and Han's expression and touching his son's face. These were very moving for me too. Great ideas and acted wonderfully. And as much as I hate that it happened I think it was one of the scenes that most made it a great Star Wars film. Unabashed tragedy that I haven't felt since learning that Vader was Luke's father. A real wtf moment if there ever was one.

I don't like jokes like this, it annoys me, throwing money away for cheap jokes and showing collectors and nerds the finger is not funny.

Some of Hans lines are hilarious but just something doesn't sound right coming from him .

 

A scene I loved, while not containing any of the powerful subtext that many of the other scenes listed here have, but still powerful, is the scene on Takodana with Han, Finn, and Chewbacca captured by the first order and they see the X-wings skimming across the water. The combination of Finn and Han's dialogue. "What's that?" "That's the Resistance", the visual of the fighters coming across the lake, and John Williams' March of the Resistance playing behind it makes it exhilarating.

 

this is my favorite thread! i love seeing everyone's "moments". so much to love in this movie!
