If you haven't seen the new concept art with what looks to be Vader and a bunch of Storm Troopers here it is.


So now, do you think that the scene in the art above is a Flashback or is it a scene that takes place in current time in the movie?

I heard a rumor that Vader was taking Kylo Ren's and Serkis's character place in concept art before they casted everyone and got the looks down and stuff but I still think that this is a flashback. The Stormtrooper dont seem to have the 'New" look. They look like the classic stormtroopers.

 

Before anyone insults me this is a SPECULATION so hear me out and THINK:
maybe vader killed Rey's parents like the kid from force unleashed? It would be an AWESOME flashback explaining why she lives with the old man!

 

It's likely just old concept art. Vader is a placeholder and this was likely done before the stormtroopers design was officially changed. Not a flashback and may not even show up in movie.

 

I hope there are no flashbacks. It would break too much from the traditional narrative structure of Star Wars films. In ROTS there is a dream sequence which serves as a 'flashforward' but it seems to be being viewed on a monitor by Anakin. I'm sure Abrams will add his own unique flair to his film but I'm not sure he'd want to change the norm too much either. That said, I'd rather they did do a flashback if they are absolutely intent on showing Vader again rather than trying to find a way to resurrect him or having a Darth Vader mark II or something!!

Me neither. Robert Downey Jr isn't tall enough to play Darth Vader anyway so I think we're safe.

I tip my hat to the artist who created this pic though.

 

I think there has always been a lot of confusion around "cyborg" characters and TFA... there was a rumor that MvS would play a cyborg character Montross, and there was also the speculation that the Grave Robber character was a cyborg (as opposed to the things on his face being part of a mask) Somehow I think that the two have been combined along the way... and I don't think that is entirely accurate

When you play the game, you play by the rules... when someone shows you pics, and says, "you can talk about them, but don't show them or I am not going to give you any more" then... you don't show them. MF may have had balls... I will settle for integrity

I can also attest to this... the selection of leaked pieces is highly suspect... and yes, there is more than this which has not yet seen the light

It is interesting that we now have two female troopers, with Amybeth and Gwendoline... how truly interesting it would be to see an Amazon legion of stormtroopers

A new teaser being released with these elements would go a long way to support this

Now there is an interesting statement... and said with such conviction... interesting indeed...

Or Amybeth is the only (chrome?) trooper and Gwendoline is not a trooper at all. This is entirely possible since she had rebel/civilian clothing on in the pictures of her walking around on the rebels base set.

I'm glad I'm not the only one frustrated by the descriptions on that site. The layout/organization is terrible as well.

 

MSW... It is what it is... Jason is (personally) a wonderful guy, and from all reports from Amanda, he is a great husband and father. His site is what it is, and the beauty of diversity is that different things appeal to different people. I love MSW because he works tirelessly to bring news to the people, and he does a great job. While I am on the side that thinks he puts a little too much speculation into his descriptions, I can't deny that he does bring it to the table... and for that he has my thanks.

 

Considering we have posters on here who think Ridley is only in this movie to play a "darth maul" role, as in a throw away character, I think you will have some buyers for your bridge

For all you know the Chrome Trooper could be the Boba Fett of SW VII. Boba Fett only has 4 lines (5 if you count his scream). Boba Fett speaks only in Empire Strikes Back. He says "As you wish," "He's no good to me dead," "What if he doesn't survive? He's worth a lot to me," and "Put Captain Solo in the Cargo Hold." In Return of the Jedi he says "AHHHHHHH OWWWW AHHHHHHHH!"

Darth Vader only had 12 minutes of screen time in the original star wars.

its not like Gwendoline Christie is an A-lister. hell even the leads arent big stars yet.
Dont get me wrong, Brienne is one of my top 3 favorite characters on GoT

its also not unheard of in star wars for a masked character to be voiced by someone else
