SPECULATION Episode VIII title/trailer Release Schedule?

Yeah cause Deadpool is so similar to Star Wars and all. And a TLJ teaser with butts and murder, ya know would be so cool.

I never said Deadpool was "so similar to SW," and I never in any way implied that a TLJ teaser should have the content of the Deadpool one.

There will be a Star Wars film released in December. Shh!

 

I might share more as we get closer to the show. It has to do with some of the teaser / bts. It's more than we deserve.

 

RO clips shown 3rd March at shareholder meeting. First 2 min teaser for RO shown 7th April. I think today all but confirmed the teaser debut at celebration (for those still thinking we will only get the BTS reel). Looks like they are following the RO timeline.

 

Actually, having a SWC is sure the best place to expect a trailer.

Will both BTS and teaser made public?

And I assume you mean they're both going to be incredible and substantial?

Because I take issue with any serious use of "deserve" in this context.

Even though we're obviously not getting a trailer before SWC, I'm wondering what will be the first film it plays in front of after it is shown at SWC?



Fate of the Furious is "opening" April 14th, but that means the first showings will be Thursday night, presumably before the trailer is released.

I don't know who determines what trailers are shown in front of a film (I assume it's the theater chain), but I can't see them having access to the trailer that weekend and showing it.

I went and saw Avengers 2 on opening weekend (first weekend in May), but they didn't show the TFA teaser 2 from SWC in April.... I went back to the same theater and saw Avengers 2 in late June and they did show the teaser before it.

I don't remember if RO first trailer/teaser from April 2016 showed in front of Cap America Civil War opening weekend.

What's the first weekend that the TLJ trailer shows in theaters?

I won't lead on to have any info on who or what will determine the release schedule with a movie. The studios do a lot of research and planning on where they attach trailers. Most of my connections and my background is in the post production world along with the ad agency world.

 

I apologize for putting you on the spot. That wasn't my intention. I was actually throwing that question out to foment a little debate, but now see how that got scrambled.

The TLJ boards are so quiet right now, and we have so much time until SWC, I figured no downside to throwing it out for discussion even though it's minor detail.

 

No problem. I didn't think you were putting me on the spot. Just didn't want to lead on like I was an expert in that area.

 

Is it me, or whenever a Star Wars trailer is released in the cinema there is an awkward silence and I'm the only one thats giddy? I've notice this since the release of AOTC trailer in front of Lord of the Rings and the same for ROTS and TFA. I wonder if the audience will react to TLJ teaser? I surely will.
