Well continuity aside, Leia would be too "big" of a moment. It would also kill the moment at the end of Rogue One. There is going to be plenty of emotion in the back-end of Andor Season 2, and I expect the finale will be as moving as season 1's finale was. That's going to be Diego's moment.

I would say we have a better chance of Leia popping up in The Mandalorian season 3. That is what I thought @daRinze was saying earlier, (I thought this was the Mando thread) and it got me thinking about it. Mando's trailers have hinted that they are going to start working in some of the New Republic/Galactic politics angle, and that could definitely open the door for a Leia or Mon Mothma cameo in Season 3.

    THIS!

I couldn't agree more, and I would love to see a Young Leia grow into her own and see more Bail Organa in their own series. The House Organa. Based on Alderaan and Coruscant, timed between OWK and ANH... Could be amazing.

Yes but the blowback from recasting a younger Leia could be too much.....I prefer the "streams" do not cross in Andor i.e. the rebellion story stream and the Jedi/Sith/Skywalker stream....

Hey @Martoto I am going back through old threads and just want to say a couple things about this post. First, your movie list is nearly a copy of mine!! Outstanding selection there. May I ask if you have seen the Civil War movie "Glory" and also Russell Crowe's incredible "Master and Commander"?

Second, your last paragraph is superb. I may copy and paste some of that i.e. "My Dad's SW can beat up your Dad's SW"......

Yes, 100% agree. No Leia in Andor.

If Leia would appear in Mando, et al... They should do the de-aging like with Luke.

In the Powerhouse new series, House of Organa, we, I mean they, would use different actresses and the de-aging technology to show Leia at different ages throughout her life.

Leia's so big she'd require her own series/movie (probably series).
And it would just be (betting) a softer GoT House of Dragon in Star Warsland (and it would likely make all sorts of mental screwballs in the mind with the OT because the scale of dramatic capability she'd have to go through to merit her own series would almost defy the thin character in the near background of the OT who well... doesn't do much).

    Cheers,
    Jayson

My fear of Andor season 2, is that after 2 years we get something like a season 8 of Game of Thrones... I mean we're getting the same writers and same show-runner, so what could actually go wrong? Right? I sincerely hope I'm wrong and season 2 is just as good and better than season 1.

GoT season 8 just reminds me that things can go wrong.... I hope I'm wrong...

Staying optimistic, I waited 2 years for season 8 of GoT, and it was a total utter disappointment. Now I must wait to 2 years of Andor season 2... feels like the same thing... ok I'm moving along... sorry all for that. I don't want to derail this thread with my issues.

    Trust the maker.

I feel pretty certain that Gilroy & Co had a good roadmap of the entire series and then brought in the additional writer for S2 mainly for adherence to Canon. So other than the pacing, I trust that all 24 episodes will feel very consistent. Almost like season 1 was the warm-up and season 2 is game time.

People ask me why I love Andor so much, and the Rebellion storyline.

Stumbled upon this masterpiece on Youtube just now.

This sums it up perfectly. Watch the entire video, I ask....

I poke fun that Andor has no Jedi, and I certainly know why... Rogue One and ANH remain my favorite, and Andor a prequel to Rogue One, for me, are for those that grew up with Star Wars. I was 8 years old when I saw Star Wars in the Theatre... GL wanted TPM for a new generation of Star Wars fans... ( did he alienate fans that grew up with Star Wars?) anywho, Andor is for fans like me... great time to be a Star Wars fan!

I grew up on Lucas' OT Star Wars. It's what introduced me to studying how to make movies (because he was the first to kick the bts doors wide open).

R1, Andor (and only the first bit of Mando does). Neither work for me. The kit bashing of models isn't what made Star Wars for me. Neither was it the Force, or Jedi.

For me, it's always been how the movie flows. I don't hate them. They just don't do it.

I was curious what it would be like to see others try Lucas' form on. I got that when the ST happened. And I really got it when Howard did Solo.

Ultimately, it was always Lucas for me. Not Star Wars.

    Cheers,
    Jayson
