I liked the way that Narkina 5 wasn't even mentioned in episodes 11 and 12. Not even on Coruscant. I doubt that any of the inspectors in ISB are aware of Narkina 5 or of the breakout. Not yet. Not before the "Stardust" high command can put out a cover story to mask the facility's purpose from the lower echelons of Imperial bureaucracy. Or manufacture cause to withhold any knowledge of a prison break out whatsoever from the Senate. Those prisoners were probably never officially there in the first place.

    "Good grief!"

The ISB is responsible of the Security of the Empire : they are somehow like the CIA.
The construction of the Death Star is more of the responsibility of the USAF : a sort of military program for a new weapon.

I doubt the CIA knows about the secret military projects of the USAF... so, to me, it wouldn't be inconsistent if the ISB just was unaware of the whole DS program. Not their job.

    Great post, @NinjaRen Well-said.

Early on, I thought to myself that it's a shame that many long-time fans of this type of adult content will miss out because they see it's 'a Star Wars story.'

That's why I think its a great idea for Disney to introduce it to the general public through ABC and Hulu. I can see some viewers casually checking it out and finding themselves shocked that it's Star Wars. In fact, I can see the show introducing the GFFA to people who would have told you they weren't 'into' Star Wars shows.

Revisiting Rogue One now is quite epic and exciting.

Planets, ships, bases, lots of characters that can have a space in Andor season 2. There are also a lot of dialogs that they should have importance in those previous 4 years. Even maybe we can see how Saw became an extremist, giving problems to the Rebellion, and how he lost his feet.

    Also Tivik at the beginning:
"-It's all falling apart. Saw is right. There are spies everywhere". Oh man, imagine spies everywhere in season 2...

Hope they link everything in an epic way.

Interesting dialogs when Andor has been captured by Saw's people.

"Chirrut ÃŽmwe: Relax, Captain. We've been in worse cages than this one.

Cassian Andor: This is the first for me.

Chirrut ÃŽmwe: There is more than one sort of prison, Captain. I sense that you carry yours wherever you go."

Well, there is backstory there. Andor keeps lying to not show all his cards, although Narkina was not technically a cage :)
But Chirrut sense more than this. He is one with the Force XD

Currently arriving to Scarif and I am already crying. RO has reached a new level, and it was really high before.
Also the direction is insane and the soundtrack (I love it since day one) is just sublime.
    What a movie.

@Madmartigan Wow me too! Doing the same thing, looking for comments etc in R1 that may drive Andor season 2 content

and how about the cast list for season 2? Last scene of Ep 12 will we be in the briefing room at Yavin with Mon Mothma, cassian, antoc merrick, Bail Organa? Also admiral raddus?

I am also going to reread the R1 novel too

Rewatching Andor with my wife, who hasn't seen it yet, and I have just a few observations:

    - She, totally unprompted, turned to me during Episode 3 and said "they should've started with this". I'm sorry, but that pretty much sells me on the idea that the first two episodes were extremely poorly paced. I love Andor as a series and enjoy its slow burn at times, but I think they really made a bad call with how slowly it started.

    - One more pessimistic take... the setup is confusing and not that well explained, something else my wife also noted. I appreciate that Andor doesn't spoonfeed its plot, but there are a lot of tenuous, vague plots referenced only in whispered riddles of dialogue, and many plot threads (such as Cassian's sister, or the box) kind of just putter out in favor of the next thing. It's pretty confusing for a first time viewer, and there were even some things I was frustrated with on my rewatch, too.

    - I hadn't realized originally that the "Reckoning" sounds were clanking in town, but not the anvil. I really like that, actually- that Ferrix's original rebellion starts off as small pockets of disobedience in the streets, but eventually echoes from the towers itself. Pretty cool- especially when even the original Reckoning was still so cool that I didn't even notice the anvil was absent the first time.

What if Maarva is the Andor of the show's title?

The title logo design is very similar to her funeral stone.

Something else about the stone... That's not Aurebesh... yet most signage, etc... throughout Ferrix is in Aurebesh. So they had their own alphabet? Just struck me as odd since Aurebesh was used widely in the series, why not here?

Maybe it's because Ferrix, or wherever Maarva was from originally, wasn't part of the Republic.

Yeah I just found it interesting. One of those little things that show the attention to detail. There's a deep history and tradition on Ferrix. All of the shop signs and such are in Aurebesh for the outsiders and people doing business, but they have their own native text for something as ceremonial and serious as a funerary stone. Nothing lazy about this production.

Aaaaand..... what if Andor is the Skywalker in The Rise of Skywalker ? I mean : not a particuliar person, but rather, a name, a family, a dynasty... a symbol.

Unless I'm mistaken, and I could be 'cause my brain is like rotten cheese, Andor is also the first non-comic book/novel depiction of a human culture speaking a different language from Basic/English (i.e. the kids on Kenari speaking... um... Kenari). Very interesting and I'm lovin' it! :D
