SPECULATION Is Leia Going to Be Killed in TLJ?

Well Carrie's brother was OK with her images in 9. I think Billie was down for it 2.

 

I remember the quotes from a while ago and thinking they had spoiler written all over them, which I believe was the consensus of a few. However, this could be a misdirection and simply the "use" of the character - i.e. Leia's memory/FG may cast a shadow over Kylo in IX

7 months to wait....

Will Ren/Ben say? " I'm a Organa, Like my mother before me."?

Embracing his inner Solo would be what we're expecting, if he gets the the Organa- part I might dose off before Solo is finally mentioned.

I'm watching The Clone Wars on Netflix(2nd round for me). And i just watched the episode where Padme goes to Alderaan for a conference. And this time(probably because of CFs passing), I noticed how they were playing Leia's SW theme when the ship arrived on Alderaan. I teared up a little bit. It's heartbreaking for me to hear her theme now. Does that happen for of of you others?

I hope they don't kill her off, but since the PL character is nothing like Brian O'Conner, they might not have a choice. How are they going to explain Leia's absense in Episode 9 if her character is alive? That's a tough one.

 

Ype they like to do that considering it was Leia's new home.

 

I found somewhere information that episode IX plot is to be adapted after death of Mrs. Fisher.

I also heard, that for the episode VIII there has been ,without knowing actress will die ,conducted a footage of the scene with Lea in coma after been haevily wounded in the attack of the First Order.

From technical point of view I think they can make she dies at the end of. ep VIII or simply mention in the starting role of ep IX she died because of her injuries in the meantime.

Disney officialy stated that honoring Mrs. Fisher there will be no any attempt of using CGI (computer generated imagery) in recreating her ever ( she allowed this to be done for the scene of young Lea at the end of Rogue one).

 

I can live with showing Leia injured & comatose at the end of 8 with ( most likely after a time skip of a few years ) a metion of her passing at the start of 9.

Having her alive in EPIX & off cam somewhere in the Galaxy doesn't work for me,.

 

I honestly wouldn't mind them having her get injured or something of the sort at the end of 8. I also wouldn't mind a CGI of Leia into 9 to give her character a send off. I thought the work in RO was terrific on both Cushing and Fisher. It was great to see both Cushing brought back to life, and Princess Leia as she was in the original Star Wars. I don't really know if I want to see Kylo Ren (even if not redeemed to Ben Solo) plunge that far into the darkness. I want him to remain a balance of the force. I feel if she dies it should be at the hands of the Supreme Leader, leading to Ren going Great Ape on his teacher and becoming the leader of the First Order.

 

As Carrie Fischer said: "She's me and I'm her [...]. I carry her around and I know her better than anybody else and we wear the same clothes a lot of times. She's mine." I've been thinking that originally they might have planned Luke's death while Leia lived, but now I think the opposite will happen. Leia will die while Luke lives because it would be a tragedy to kill off all three original characters in one trilogy. And Rey and (maybe) Ben should have a familial figure when all is said and done.

If they're planning to re-cast Leia Organa, I think it will be a huge mistake. It seems Leia would have had a large part in Ben's story, but her death could potentially be the tipping point for Kylo Ren.

 

This, I guess.... hopefully happens? Yikes. I remember hearing that rumor as well. I hate to put it this way, but hopefully they got "lucky" with that sort of open ended ending to Leia in VIII. If that's the case then it would at least feel semi-organic from a story perspective going forward.

God, this sucks. I don't even like to use the word "lucky" in this scenario. Ugh.
