Allow me to explain. As a film I feel ep7 works and flows better than episode 6 did. At the moment I like it as much as I do ep5. Nothing will ever top ep4, but that's just my opinion. You could make a case for episode 7 being a better written, better acted and better directed film than ep 4 I believe, but nostalgia gets me every time.

Kylo was great, especially with punching himself. I was kinda worried he got his head cut off after his hand at first.

You're so right. The music COMPLETELY ruined the whole movie. Everything else was fine, but the music makes it just awful. You're really desperate for excuses to hate it, aren't you? lol

Yeah, people seem to be ignoring that to hate on it. Getting shot and cut up some with a lightsaber is probably not easy to fight through, and it's not like he was a super duelist either. He was basically swinging it angrily to kill whatever he could, which I thought was good for his character. Also, people seem to like to forget that Rey was pretty b/a with that staff and obviously knew how to fight well enough to hold her own with most people.

I mostly agree with this, except Starkiller base. I thought it was a bit ridiculous that they would have another superweapon that's planet sized and can shoot any planet in the entire galaxy from anywhere, and the fact that the shield is on the planet and a few of them have to disable it while the others try to blow it up. That was the one place I thought they went too far in mirroring the original trilogy. If the planet had just been their base and they'd had a large, powerful fleet and bombarded a planet or something I think it would have been better. Having said that, I still liked it, especially all the hinting toward Snoke being Plagueis.

O.K. it was not a perfect movie like we all thought, but it was not a bad one. Sure, there were some things that should have not happened like Han Dying, but I think everybody got caught up in the hype and should really re-think it.

The minute I walked out at the end of it. I'll watch the prequels, but man, they just weren't that good and the CGI hadn't matured enough to rid itself of the cartoon look.

For all those that were not exactly excited about the film and/or feel angry about it here is just a little musical performance from my all-time favorite musical Chicago called "Razzle Dazzle".

This is a very ambiguous piece of music and while apparently directed at the Roxie Hart character you can swap Roxie for JJ Abrams. If you feel angry about something you can't change, you can at least make fun of it. So this is my holiday gift in an attempt to give a little solace.
