    Boba Fett was probably selected to be a Spinoff focus for this reason. His main source of story was EU stuff which is now...no longer canon. Other than Episode II and TCW he's got a pretty blank canvas.

    I mean, c'mon! We have a backstory to Jango/Boba Fett, just to be written off and replaced with (IMHO) a weaker story? It is that backstory (that we SAW on screen in the PT & OT), that gives credibility to the character. I'm just not going for it. I would be WAY MORE inclined to believe MvS was....hell, KANAN for that matter. :)

    It's a lot like some Marvel/DC stuff. We have seen it done with superheroes. If it's done right I think it could be cool.

    The Batman movies ended with hinting at a similar scenario.

    Right. I think if considerable detail is shown about who the new Boba is and it intertwines with the OT well it could be really cool. To see events taking place during the OT leading up to the original Boba dying could be really cool with technology today. Sort of like how in the Back to the future movies you see moments from the previous movie happening in the background. That could be cool.

    MvS is going to be Ezrz....yeah, that's it!!!

    EXACTLY as I said...it better be WELL executed in order to be believable, or they're going to be faced with millions of incredulous expressions and questions. A perfect "hate-fest" recipe if they happen to forget one ingredient. BTW, I'm still not buying it! :)

    Yeah that would be cool. I just hope they don't redo Morrison's voice in the ESB special edition AGAIN. He should either have some kind of voice changer to sound that way or take over after ESB, maybe during the "Shadows of the Empire" period, even though that isn't canon anymore.

    New Boba would be after all of the Boba we see in the OT. So no voice changing needed.

    Who would play a middle age MvS though?

    For some I can get my iPhone to copy and paste the link but some time last year when the Fett rumors came up the first time Hidalgo denied them. Said that Fett's back story was canon and these rumors were being put out by PT haters.
    Unless at some point between then and now lucasfilm changed their mind or Disney made them change their mind

    But Morrison's voice was added into the most recent release of Empire Strikes Back and maybe Return of the Jedi, I don't remember if he has lines in Jedi.

    Right I'm saying after Boba falls into the pitt Mvs takes over so he's going to have a slightly different voice. Maybe a more british accent or something. Close but not exact.

    Perhaps that's where the info is off and that's why some people think this is a bad idea. I don't see how OT Boba could ever be portrayed as a good guy.
    I think the only way to make this seem natural is for the new Boba to take over when the original falls in the pitt making Fett look invincible and only strengthening the persona. It would also explain how he could be portrayed as more of a good guy if the new Boba did things differently than the original.
