SPECULATION Lor San Tekka (Max Von Sydow's Character).

Well Lucas went on record saying that Boba Fett did survive the sarlac pit. Now it's a question of who is the man behind the mask?

 

The Fett rumor is intruiging. I'm not sure how much I believe it, but I wouldn't mind seeing my favorite character make a return to the franchise

Assuming this (the recent rumor re MvA) is true, and assuming it is backed by a strong story, then I think it would be a very intriguing arc. I think he would be perfect for such a role, granting it the gravitas it needs to be pulled off. I am slightly worried about the "making him good" thing, but I find this rumor quite exciting indeed.

Edit: Alright, since the thread was marked "spoiler", there is no need tiptoe around it I think, assuming it is done well, that MvS would make a great old-guy Boba Fett.

 

ok so how they make this happen and make sense is going to be a task and a half....I await that story
but my mind right now the only way I can make since of it is this
the Fetts were a title
it was usually were handed off or down
I don't know how that conflicts with what is cannon as I dont read the books or comics
then Jango being an ass figures out a way to make himself both Jango and Boba with the clones
well the "others" get wind and don't care for it
both are arranged for assassination
Jango just gets taken care of on his own
maybe the boba does too, I have a hard time with more kid killing but now seems to be a Star Wars theme
anyway MVS takes over as Boba as it is rightfully his and is mentoring the next........Kira?????
not totally a formed Idea, as I just learned of this story 4 minutes ago but it would be great to have a new boba fett
she would be continued on in the story line future movies
and if she was a Solo having her become the one thing that hunted her father in the past....
again half baked but thinking.

 

Don't over think it.

Jango has a clone of himself named Boba
Jango is killed, Boba takes over the family business
Boba is killed with no witnesses except MVS (doesn't really matter, when, where, why, or how)
MVS dons the Mandalorian armor and mask, takes Slave I, and assumes the identity

We will get a Boba Fett movie that will answer all of the questions, so I don't think the ST will have to deal with it in depth.

To the average SW fan, this could be fun. To us nerds that talk about what is and isn't canon it may be perplexing.

 

It kind of sounds more EU than the EU Fett stuff which I can see some people really embracing

 

I want to believe Boba Fett escaped these are my visions of what may have happened.

 

Perplexing may be an understatement. I have never been Boba Fett obsessed, but there is one thing Disney might need to be aware of. To many Star Wars fans Boba Fett is a diety. They would rather you mess with anything in the Star Wars universe than screw with Boba Fett. I don't always get it, but I get the feeling Darth Jar Jar would go over better than the wrong changes to Boba Fett

 

Ok.... MVS would be Boba Fett Why not! That gives so many reasons to go and see the Boba Spin Off movie!

 

The concept art that looked like MVS looked to scholarly. I liked the missing eye cyborg art more. I hope the finished product of MVS as Boba Fett look more like a life of fighting. It certainly sets itself against the rumors that MVS is "the Vicar" who is a spiritual leader among the group that Rey is hiding.

 

Some thoughts on the recent rumors:

If Max Von Sydow is an elder Boba Fett, who took over the Fett mantle from the prequel version of Boba Fett, and if one of the spin-off movies will focus on this rebooted origin of Fett -- then I think the rumor of Aaron Paul attached to a role in the spin-off is for the role of this new Fett, not a young Han Solo.

In other words, Aaron Paul might be cast as a younger Sydow. Just a thought...

 

I think the Boba Fett movie will be the Death Star plans heist movie rumored awhile back. They clearly are arranging Ashoka as the leader of the early rebellion. She has a begrudging relationship with Asajj who worked as a bounty hunter after she was dumped as Dooku's stooge. In TCW young Boba is being raised on the run with bounty hunters that are led by Aura Sing. A couple of extra bounty hunters to fill out the team. Put an Italian Job type story together where part of the team has to pull of the job with the former partners as rivals going after the new score. Somewhere really juicy somebody turns on Boba kills him and takes his armor, money and legacy. Kid Boba is no more. MVS Boba goes on to be the ruthless hunter from ESB and the one who escapes the Sarlaac and appears in old age in TFA.

 

Does this mean they will overdub Boba Fetts voice.............again............in the OT

 

The first spin off will not be a Han Solo spin off

 

So are we saying that the Boba that fell into the Sarlacc pit was MVS's boba or the boba in AOTC?

Yup I mentioned a while back Boba Fett was first spinoff, well 99% sure. Prop department at Pinewood had already been making Fett props by Summer last year, and alot of concept art was seen (I can't say whether it was seen at pinewood during shooting or elsewhere).

Plus theres the Slave I chalk drawing on the wall in Rose's Cantina which is bound to be a TFA easter egg.

 

I think the Boba Fett that fell into the sarlaac is going to be the MvS Boba. It could be why he retired from Bounty Hunting and became a local respected individual.

I'm a little annoyed that MvS as Boba means he can't be a part of the Seven as the old Kylo Ren, so assuming it is true I have to fix that plothole

 

I am not trying to over think, and by no means a Fett follower. I just want it to make sense. I just want it not to be to convoluted. Star Wars has always been simple and as fans JJ should see that.
