I hope you're (we are) right, this would be a interesting Luke Skywalker, much better as the god like Luke that many fans wants to see.

more important, does the rock home of his have a toilet? He is stuck on an island ........ Of rocks...... Oh ya, does he still fly his original X-wing? I want to see the old school Xwing. That would be cool along with his old Jedi tunic hanging on the wall

Casting aside jokes about him being a force junkie... This actually sounds really eligible theory. I had not given him too much thoughts just because he was so round-up at the end of RotJ. Sure, he had his share of his pains and regrets but he was at ease with himself. I kind of took it granted that we would find him that way in the prequels. It will be an interesting journey to see how he reclaims back his role and position.

I think he does not need a x-wing or another craft.
Who needs a toilet on a abandoned island? (he can do it everywhere he wants, enough space)
The Jedi tunic hanging on the wall is a great idea, I like it.
