It is SO obvious that Mark has more than a few scenes in TFA. People are just blinded by the MSW fake reports which wasent even published until a forum member in here suggested the "What IF Mark only has a few scenes" thing.

Its the same with that Synopsis post from MSW, it is without a doubt funny how MSW posted that synopsis a few days after a member on this forum posted it here..

It just comes to show that MSW is actualy making stuff up pretty often as they go along.

For the record, someone mentioned to him on twitter a couple weeks back that he should create an index of some sort to be able to get an overview of the story. He replied saying it was a good idea and I believe he said they were working on something.
And i have to disagree, it is not obvious that Mark has more than a few scenes in TFA.

Luke will be really important in this movie that's for sure, he will be in for at least 10minutes.

i wholeheartedly agree. If MSW is right and Rey meets up with luke that only goes to highlight the importance of both going forward.

    1. in terms of Rey's role in the trilogy
    2. In terms of Luke's importance to the new characters.

Honestly, I'm starting to believe the MSW rumor, simply because he is the only source with a reasonably good track record when it comes to this film. Others have been right where he was wrong, but not as constant as he has been. The possibility remains that he is totally off when it comes to Luke. If he has indeed proof that the scene exists as such (only leaked stills or footage will prove this, not call sheets), then he is right, and we have been robbed from seeing Luke once again, as a fully developed Jedi (atleast until episode VIII). I only hope that someone leaks something that confirms or denies this, in order to put this past us.

Msw only mentions luke in 2 scenes. One of which is a flashabck

The shot in the trailer isnt a flashback

I read somewhere that bb8 and r2 have a bit in the falcon in the firsr act.

Yet r2 is not mentioned for ages.

We don't know for sure but there is no evidence that there are flashbacks at all either.

Yes, and there has been a no-flashback trend in the SW Saga. This is why it is possible that MSW is wrong about what happens after they run off to see Maz Kanata, and like others have suggested, it is outdated information. Let's wait and see.

I have not read anything about R2 being in the first act. Head over to the R2 thread. All that has been reported is that he is with c3po qnd Leia when they solve a puzzle and according to MSW he is with Luke in a flashback.
We have seen the trailer, which fits the description and we have also seen the leaked picture of R2 and C3PO. That's it.

This is still being reported by MSW, and I will be pretty annoyed if it turns out to be true.

We're going to have to wait another 2 years to properly see Luke? Come on man.. PLEASE don't let this be true.
    They can't let
    Han get wacked
and only allow us 1 minute with Luke. That stinks.

Anyway, what are your thoughts? Do you think its a wise move to maintain peoples' interest in the next film? Or do you think its a wasted opportunity? (remember that Luke was the PROTAGONIST for three movies)

I don't want it to be true, but I won't be shocked if it turns out to be true. If Rey/Finn/Poe/Kylo have major roles, along with Han, plus Leia gets some screen time....How much attention can they divert away for Luke? If
    Han dies
that frees up a lot of room for Luke in 8 and 9 without overcrowding the new cast.

I think it's important to note that while Luke is in this story, it is not his story, even if we want it to be. His time has come and gone.

Not if he's the most powerful light side user of the force, I think he should AT LEAST have the screen time that Yoda had in ESB.

I'm actually ok with Luke only appearing at the end of TFA. Like you said before he already was the main protagonist in three previous films. I'm ready for the new cast to move in.

I really, really hope that this is not true. Or, at least, that Luke has a much bigger role in VIII and IX.

I understand that the 'Excalibur' is being passed on to the new trio and I am all for it. I don't need him to take a central stage at any point in the new movies, but I want to see Luke as a fully trained, badass Jedi. We went from the galaxy with 10.000 Jedi to the Galaxy with almost no Jedi at all - we have to see how the world of the Jedi has changed and that change could have only happened through Luke as the last of them at the end of RotJ.

If he gets a screen time similar to Obi-Wan in the first movie (IV) in any of the new episodes, I will be happy.

May I suggest that you add OTHER option the poll, so that people can elaborate (like I did)? Thanks.

    Dont think so.

Flashback sequence and current timeline. So that makes it at least two.
