SPOILER MakingStarWars Rumors and Speculation Thread (Part 1)

Greetings Star Wars fans, President Obama here. I'm currently awaiting JJ Abrams' response to sitting down with me for a meal to discuss the upcoming The Force Awakens and lobby a role in Episode 8.

Has anyone noticed on MakingStarWars.net, there is a poll for "Who is the president of Star Wars?" The only choice it's Jason Ward, and obviously it should be me.

 

Mr. Obama, I had no idea...

What you are saying fits perfectly for you, me, and most of the fanboys. But there are millions of teenagers who I think sees things differently. And Disney knows that. This movie is not being made just for us, you know?

 

Barack is the clear choice to play Mace Windu's grandson or Finn's father (via flashback). Then again, I suppose some folks hear the "Imperial March" theme each time they see him so Darth Obama is a possibility.

Seriously though, are you getting a lot of heat for releasing this info? I mean, people aren't knocking on your door trying to force you to reveal your sources? Or are they? You must have really talked it out with whomever it is that's feeding you information so that you're really on the same page. Seems stressful.

Those teens and younger kids will one day be grown ups who, I hope, will see things/Star Wars with a longer view.

 

Found out about another Luke scene. Apparently he goes bowling a lot and drinks white Russians.

I'm thinking after Dec 18 th all us Cantina members will gather round , hold hands , and share in a flashback were we see team JJ play Jason Ward like a fiddle !

Her description seems to be a little too on-the-nose with this whole Jedi/Sith relic collecting rumor to be coincidence.
Jedi hunters, raiders, pirates... I'm hoping for a rag-tag mix of mercenaries, bounty hunters, sith-types, etc. Preferably one of them will be a still functioning IG-88 or 4-LOM. If R2D2 and C3PO can still be around after 65 years so can they.

Been thinking..
By reducing Luke to two scenes, JJ is avoiding having to address three issues that could cause a lot of fan backlash. Aggrivating as it may seem, a TFA w/o luke is "the safe bet".
First, he's avoided having to make a descision regarding how what is likely the SW version of Doctor Manhattan interacts in the story.
Second, he's avoided having to deal with the force ghost issue. Which I kinda don't blame him for; Zahn 86'd them as well.
Third, by avoiding force ghosts, he doesn't have to deal with casting or not casting PQ actors.
Way to kick the can down the road there, JJ.

 

Why would Rey need to see a flashback of something she experienced?

She lose her memory? Or we are going to see Kylo go after a baby??
