    If it indeed turns out to be true, he'd better kick some major butt after his encounters with melee weapons in TFA. As a matter of fact, he needs a Baze Malbus (automatic) type of blaster rifle in case he runs into a begrudged group of ex comrade riot control troopers all yelling "traitor" in unison.

    Posting here because a search sent me and can't waste more time looking for a more relevant spot.
    The movie was a joke, more than that, pathetic pandering. The girl is there because she's a she and that is popular. Everything about her story and skills is ridiculous. The guy is there because he's black and that's required even more. She is completely unbelievable, though not a bad actor, her story ridiculous. He's an absolute coward, exposed the moment we see him and confirmed the rest of the way. His change of heart is so unbelievable I won't even speak to it. Not a very good actor either. Add in stupid and they left a cringe-fest. Worse than the one with banks. At least they had Solo for a while to carry the film. Nice to see Leia too, but she seemed overly medicated. And Mav or Maz was pretty good, surprisingly. Oh crap i forgot the holo-Snoke, and that foaming bad guy general, that was embarrassing. My first ever post anywhere. How'd I do?

    We'll I guess the world needs trolls as well.
    Remembering the originals> fondly, I am disappointed with most of what has come since. Obviously others are welcome to place importance on the new films.
    Being a Finn thread, I posted my dismissive opinion here. I notice there are many who spend much time posting their opinions regarding Finn as well.

    Sorry, but anyone who only saw TFA and used that to conclude that John Boyega isn't a good actor is not a person whose opinion I'm going to take very seriously. Boyega was no worse than Daisy Ridley, Oscar Isaac or Adam Driver in that film. If you've seen him in anything else there is no way you would say that. The only reason people would even have the opinion that he's a bad actor is because in TFA he was given most of the cheesy, comedic lines and he still somehow made it at least palatable. Just because someone gets to play the straight man doesn't mean that they're a better actor than the person playing the funny man. It only looks that way because for some reason comedy is looked at as less than in comparison to drama when it comes to defining "good acting".

    Hmmm with the exception of " Chewbacca nearly killed me six times" I didn't see much funny. And a good actor is a good actor, comedy or drama. He was just bland. Not that he had much to work with.

    Aside from Harrison Ford, I thought John Boyega gave the best performance in the movie. Those two made "The Force Awakens" barely tolerable for me.



    Actually, I thought he was better than them, which is ironic considering that both Driver and Isaac are really good actors in their own right.

    I thought he was too. I was just saying that because for some reason ( I have my ideas for why I think that is ) people seem to single him out as the one bad actor.
