This is headcanon consensus already :)

Star Wars/The Force Awakens Themed Memes & Image Macros!

    http://tosche-station.net/millicent-the-cat-has-a-secret/

Fact: No one has ever seen Millicent and Snoke in the same room.
This is indisputable. Throughout the entire film, Snoke and Millicent the Cat never appear in frame together. Now, of course, one might argue that Millicent never appears in The Force Awakens period but that certainly does not take away from the fact that you never see them together. There’s definitely a reason why.

Fact: We’ve only see Snoke as a hologram.
Millicent is one smart kitty. She knew that she’d never have a chance for galactic domination as herself so she found another plan of action. The giant Snoke hologram on a throne is merely a digital projection created entirely by computers that Millicent is clearly controlling. (Pay no attention to the cat behind the curtain.)

Fact: Cats are assholes. Just like Snoke.
It is a truth universally acknowledged that a cat, when given the opportunity, must be in want of being an Peedunky. What could be more Peedunky-ish than corrupting a kid to the dark side and encouraging him to kill his father?

Fact: Kylo Ren puts his helmet in Millicent’s litterbox.
Do you think the Master of the Knights of Ren would put his helmet just anywhere? Of course not. Obviously Millicent is no mere cat and Kylo should feel lucky to temporarily place his helmet where Millicent’s *ahem* business also goes. And honestly, do you think that any mere cat, even one owned by General Hux, would have a litterbox in such an important place? (Although I suppose there’s room for an argument that this is just another way for Millicent-Snoke to exert her dominance over Kylo.)

Fact: Neither Hux nor Kylo appear to have any cat hair on them.
As anyone who owns a pet or has spent any time around hairy mammals can tell you, this is impossible. I don’t care how many lint rollers you have or how religiously you use one, some hair will always escape your efforts. Millicent must have supernatural powers if she’s able to keep her two humans and their very dark clothing from perpetually having orange hair on it.

Fact: Snoke intends to complete Kylo Ren’s training.
This entire line is a bit of misdirection on Millicent’s part. She orders Hux to go collect Ren from the blood and snow heap because she wants her humans in one piece but she also tells them to come to her. She doesn’t want to let them on the secret just yet so this is her keeping up the charade. The hologram can still be used wherever Hux and Ren have to go. She’s clearly very serious about training Ren though. His temper tantrums keep destroying computer consoles and do you know what warm and lovely spots those are for sleeping? Especially in freezing cold space? He must be trained to stop such destruction. Plus, every credit redirected towards repairs is another credit that won’t be buying her treats or catnip which is just rude.

Fact: Supreme Leader is exactly the smug sort of title a cat would come up with.
“Emperor” is just so three decades ago. Also, Supreme Leader is gender neutral and Millicent is all about gender equality. Species equality will be at the top of her list once she achieves galactic domination.

You may laugh but prepare yourself to be astounded and amazed when this theory is revealed as fact in Episode VIII or Episode IX. Or perhaps Pablo’s Twitter. The ramifications of something like this may be too dangerous and blow theatregoers’ minds if seen on the big screen. Just wait.

    Hail Supreme Leader Millicent!

^^ but the loss of Starkiller brings out the best in him.

Imo It is a little disappointing that the "Hux rescues Kylo" scene didn't make into the movie. Maybe now after it's confirmed episode VIII starts right where TFA left off, we're going to get to see the scene after all?!??

Fortunately the scene is vital in the book.

    From the novelization:

For a moment he could almost imagine reaching to his blaster, feeling it’s weight in his hands, and ending Kylo Ren once and for all, the only real threat to his power in the future.

    sketch-1459882075119.png

Besides the destruction of Starkiller really leaves him being horrified.

    From the novelization:

He stood against the interior hull of the ship, his weight firmly supported by the cold steel.
    [...]
General Hux pushed his weight off the ships wall and stood at his fill height.

"Pilot, set a course for the homeworld.” Hux’s voice didn’t shake, he would never waver, never show weakness. The Order needed him every bit as much has he needed it.

Furthermore the book is filled with additional information and Hux is more badass than the movie lets on.

Excerpt from the book summed up:

After the shields went down, Hux orders a squad to get to the shield control station, who break down the doors to find the controls having been destroyed by blaster fire. He gives orders to use whatever redundancy features they have to bring the shields back up. When he learns that the Resistance pilots were concentrating fire on one region, he figures out what they are doing, and scrambles all available TIE fighters. Despite the Resistance pilots' failure to make a mark on the surface, Hux orders the launch of heat-seeking missiles to take them out, at the same time risking a lot of collateral damage to their own fighters

Hux is ruthless and much more disturbing in the book. like you said, he doesn't hesitate to kill his own men.
and yeah, he'd take out Kylo Ren if he thought he could get away with it.

this is why i think he's going down with the ship in the end: he's insanely power-hungry.
even when he objects to destroying the Hosnian System, he's arguing because destroying planets means fewer resources and people over which to rule.
he couldn't give two figs for the loss of life.

i have so many questions about the tracker on Ren: does Hux knows he has a tracker or did Snoke have to tell him? why the eff does Ren have a tracker unless someone (Hux? Snoke?) is worried about him wandering off? something tells me Hux doesn't have a tracker.
or is it just a convenient plot detail never to be explained?

I always thought the tracking device was Hux's idea. It is a military standard precaution.

"Your pistol has a tracking device in it"

    http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Wookieepedia:Quote_of_the_Day/Archive/Stormtrooper?useskin=oasis

Hux probably puts trackers on everything he considers precious or important, i.e. Millicent, Phasma...;)

I know Kylo isn't in the regular chain of the FO, it is strange...

that's especially why i think the tracker is strange. i think it makes sense for other personnel (and maybe Hux does have one), but Ren being a sort of independent party it seems like he'd object to it (though maybe Snoke requires it ~ creepy enough in and of itself). i mean, imagine if the Resistance was able to figure out their frequencies? talk about setting yourself up for catastrophe.

    it's just a weird detail ~ hahaha

it's strangely telling that they cast someone so tall to play Hux.
even though Adam Driver is technically taller (by 2 inches, i think), the fact that Ren slouches/hunches makes Hux look taller in their scenes together.
at first this bothered me (it makes Kylo Ren less intimidating), but that's probably the point.

Hahaha... @FN: charming to the last ^^

    tumblr_o4t3j2QHxJ1tikb42o3_540.gif

I ve done some research (to be more precise: spending my spare time watching Domhnall Interviews and reading Tumblr blogs) and here some bits and pieces that you might find interesting:

I realized this while looking at a TFA gif- Hux eye color is blue, but Domhnall true eye color is green. So Domhnall does wear blue contact lenses.

First I thought it was the blue screen reflecting in his eyes. Then I looked it up on Wookiepedia

    From wookiepedia:

    Eye color
    Blue

    http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Hux#cite_note-Episode_VII-2

Of course, this theory raises a question- Why did JJ make him wear blue contact lenses for aesthetics reasons? Why bother if Hux is just some random villain. Could this be a hint that he is related to anyone important?

This seems to make General Hux a more three-dimensional character than we would have originally thought.

So what else is there to the General. Pablo confirmed that he will get a first name- yeah!

    Pablo on Twitter:

    Screenshot_2016-04-16-20-37-32.png
"He’ll get one. It’s not Brendol. That’s his dad.”

    adam-driver-oscar-isaac-star-wars-the-force-awakens-premiere-01.jpg

I'm curious in what context the name will come up. Who is going to call him by his first name?- His old flame Phasma? Kylo mocking him?

Anyway... I stumbled across this post on tumblr:

Wait what did mark hamill say about domhnall in ep 8?

    rebelpilots answered:

He was at a Q&A session and he was talking about the fact the cast all have to wear robes over their costumes so no one can see the costumes and get spoilers and he said he was talking to Domhnall on set

(so…are Luke and Hux in a scene together? Or did Domhnall pop over from wherever he and Adam are filming to say hi to Mark?)

and he asked Domhnall if he’d had to wear a secrecy robe to come onto the soundstage and Domhnall said yes and Mark replied that he was in the same costume he wore in episode VII so people have seen what he’s wearing.

So either Hux’s new costume is similar to his old one, or we’re going to be seeing him in his old uniform for part of the film. And given the rumors of there being no time jump, as well as recent pics of Domhnall with stubble, we’re getting Hot Mess Hux. That’s what the action figure’ll be called.

Unfortunately I was not able to find the original source and verify this post ( yet). I hope it is true, it would be a hell of a story. Hux with stubble looks KILLER.

ah! new information from our resident Huxologist! awesome!

and isn't this just tea and cakes on a sunday? why would they make him wear blue contacts? makes no sense at all!
who else specifically has blue eyes (and is noted for them in TFA)?
    Snokie-poke?!?

but we know for sure Brendol is Hux's father, right? do we? so maybe his mother is relevant?
    curiouser and curiouser.

maybe it's got something to do with why he has blue eyes ~ his first name, i mean. maybe we find out he's alien or something weird ~ hahaha.
maybe he's a stolen child too.
maybe he's related to the only other ginger in the whole saga?

    Screen Shot 2016-04-17 at 3.19.10 PM.png

    Mom!

yeah the robe thing is pretty standard. but that is interesting about them being on set at the same time.
does Luke wind up on the Finalizer? does Hux ever wind up off?
should we resurrect the "Hux is Luke's son rumors?" hahaha

i saw him in a news thing very recently and he was clean-shaven. i noticed particularly because of the popularity of Hot Mess Hux and i wondered if both Gleeson and Driver were going to come back looking older, wiser, and more barbaric. but both of them seem clean-shaven still.

and here's a question for you, @RockyRoadCHu : do we have any sense at all how long Hux has been a General? or in charge of the Finalizer?
i've been trying to figure out how long he and Ren have known one another and am beginning to think this may, in fact, be the first time they've had to work with each other (on this particular mission). not sure why i have that impression, though.

I really think Hux is the son and daughter of the mysterious figure from the end of Aftermath and Rae Sloane. Just my two cents, but he appears way too young to have achieved the rank of General without some family influence.

    Cheers!

I'd like to see Hux be a little more ruthless and cruel in VIII. Although, I suppose it doesn't get more ruthless than blowing up an entire system of planets with a hyperspace weapon. But I'd like to see his ruthlessness and severity more in the context of commanding his FO subordinates.

I'd also like to see him demonstrate his cunning tactical skills to help establish his character as an intelligent and capable adversary despite his youth.

So I like that he's not yet another "kill your own men stupidly over minor mistakes" type of baddie. He's already fanatically cruel enough as it is. What I would like to see is him more actively in combat. Like instead of just being in charge of a military base, now he's leading/commanding the FO military forces in their various campaigns against their enemies.

And considering that he accomplishes more in his debut film than Tarkin and Vader do in theirs. And that his failures are more a result of Kylo's "issues" combined with Han, Finn, and Poe being able to pull cool plans/maneuvers right out of their backsides at the last minute, rather than any incompetence on his part, I already consider him to be a dangerous enemy.

That's a good point. He doesn't seem like the kind of General that overreacts and kills his own men over minor mistakes. But I would still like to see more interaction between him and his subordinates. Gleeson called Hux a "strong disciplinarian" but we didn't get to really see much of that in VII. We've seen how the FO officers fear Kylo Ren, but I think it would be interesting to see whether they fear Hux as much or perhaps even more than they fear Kylo.

I thought his ruthless nature was evident in TFA, but It kind of seems like some people perceived him as annoying rather than sinister. I suppose that probably had more to do with Gleeson's performance than the character. I guess his speech was a little much for some people (personally, I loved it and thought Gleeson nailed the performance). Hopefully that perception of Hux will change with VIII. I think he's an interesting villain that has a lot of potential. I can't wait to see what they do with his character.

Something interesting about Hux's dad from Claudia Gray's "Bloodline"

"Hux is never mentioned either but his father is on one occasion. It’s when Lady Carise looks back at how she helped founding the First Order by convincing some powerful centrists about the benefits of it. She then thinks about how Brendol Hux, her homeworld academy’s commandant, disappeared right after the Battle of Jakku. He was a hero of the Empire but she suspects he only went underground to help the First Order become even more powerful."

Where did he go just as the First Order started to gain power? What happened to Hux's dad?

Hux Weasley will reveal he has special powers and once attended a secret "Force School" for young ginger-haired kids/freaks. He was an angry and arrogant pupil and was in Sitheryn House.

He he. So are we going to hear now that Hux is Snoke's lovechild with Mom Mothma, conceived when he was slithering around the Senate in the New Republic, and that Snoke used to be Brendal Hux before the accident out in the unkown regions Force weapon development program? And that part of the reason Snoke changed his name was so that the rest of the FO didn't realise he was putting his son in charge, and so he could infiltrate the New Republic? :p

Edited to add, my money is on Hux's first name being Aldous. And apparently Hux or Huxley as a name means 'inhospitable place', lol. Would love to hear everones guesses for our fav ginger space nazis first name.

I hope Hux never made it off the Starkiller base because I don't like the character, nor the acting.
