    I'm sorry, don't think my statement was clear...what I meant to say was I know that Leia will be in Episode 9 but in what capacity? I heard some people say this confirmed Leia' living through TLJ but to me it doesn't mean that. It could mean that she just appears in a flashback scene for Episode 9.

    Probably not for flashbacks, though. (Unless Leia dies in TLJ, which I doubt will happen.) I think they'll use stock footage for a reunion with Kylo Ren, whether it's them seeing each other from across a landing platform, or via hologram.

    Sorry. I may have just misinterpreted your question. I believe there have been statements saying they are not altering TLJ. Unless she was originally going to die in TLJ, it appears she will make it out alive. Trevarrow had his quote a while back about Leia having a big part in IX so it seems like the intent was for her to live through TLJ. I'm sure there will be changes made to IX now that Carrie is gone. A first draft of the script has been recently completed. How in a IX she is going to be used is still unknown.

    Indeed. I was hoping they were going to be able to shuffle some scenes about between movies. I'm not a fan of CGI characters either but in this case it would be acceptable to me. Sounds like they're just going to write her out somehow. Doesn't even sound like force ghost Leia will show up...

    Her wording makes it sound like Leia won't make it, which is awful to hear. I do not want to watch Leia die, especially now.

    This being the case (that KK confirms Carrie won't be in ep.9), considering her passing in December, I hope they make TLJ into Leia's movie. I mean, not in any way forced, but if there were ever a time to make Leia shine a little extra in post production and pickups etc...

    If she does go down I would assume its one of the Kamikaze ship maneuvers. Leia is not likely to go out into the field.
