The point was that Han and Leia did marry but Fisher felt the need to obfuscate.

If Leia gets in a coma in Episode Viii that just increases her chances of surviving the trilogy. At least one more person out of Luke, Kylo and Leia are going to be dead by the end of episode IX. Right now Leia seems the least likely.

i think they're all going to live. i feel like there's no dramatic narrative purpose for any of them to die.
    • a death for Luke seems like it would be cheapened by Han's death (or cheapen Han's death in turn). we don't need more than one "mentor" death anyway.
    • a death for Leia would just be criminal--the woman's suffered enough already. she deserves a happy ending.
    • a death for Kylo Ren would mean failure for the OT heroes and more misery for Leia particularly; unacceptable! hahaha

You bring up valid points. But if Luke died in some way sacrificing himself to destroy Snoke. And he would come back as a force ghost anyway (unlike Han) I don't think if would cheapen Han (Where Han's death would put Ben toward some sort of path of redemption and Luke's death would kill Snoke.)

Then again, I really don't want Kylo redeemed but Luke showing up smiling at the end as a force ghost is too much OT ripoff. Hmmm, I could see Leia happy with the latter but not the former.

I guess it depends who I want to be happier, myself or Leia. Haha

hahaha ~ well that's the best and most honest answer.

i feel like Luke sacrificing himself to take out Snoke would be too redundant. he needs to help raise the new generation of Jedi. i feel like the aftermath needs his wisdom (and not as a Force ghost).

personally i want all of them redeemed that can't happen unless they all live ~ hahaha

I don't think they will want to keep her in a coma for 2 hrs max of the movie, lying on a table is not what Carrie signed for.

Some Star Wars: Bloodline alleged spoilers/rumors/gossip. There are copies out in the wild that have been sent to Star Wars fans and "influencers":

Full of Sith podcast describes some of the book here:

And I will riot if something happens to Leia lol.

I know - I was thinking about that, why can't they have their happy ending? But I realised this is Star Wars and seeing a happy family story might not attract a lot of moviegoers lol.

I know!!! But when you see ROTJ, you feel like "oh yeaaah they've made it! now they can be happy forever and ever" which didn't happen - well, not even in the Legends lol.

I know! As a matter of fact, I must confess I love that part of ROTS when Bail arrives to Alderaan with Baby Leia and you can hear "Princess Leia's Theme" and then you see Master Kenobi arriving to Tatooine with Baby Luke and you hear "The Force Theme" when he gives the baby to Aunt Beru and Uncle Lars, watching the Binary Sunset. Really inspiring.

If there's one thing I'd like to see from Leia's character in VIII, it's how her feelings about Kylo have developed since Han's death.

In VII Leia seemed pretty confident that there was still light in her son. But Kylo murdered his own father, the man Leia loved – how has that affected her? Will she still insist that Kylo can be redeemed? Will she be able to succeed where Luke and Han failed and redeem her lost son? Or will she give up hope now that Kylo has wandered further into the darkness? If Kylo's own mother gives up hope of his redemption, then perhaps Ben Solo is truly dead.

I think the enduring love of a mother for her prodigal son would be a compelling arc for Leia in the ST. Hopefully we get to explore a little bit more of the the complexities of that mother/son relationship.
