don't watch it. it's garbage. i mean, i love Adam Driver and i think he's a great actor, but i really resent the disgusting things Dunham made him do--and i am happy knowing he will likely never need to do them ever again.

 

I saw Adam NUDE in a random Tumblr pic and that already ruined SW for me a bit.

you'd have to see it to judge it. she does love him and they are very happy.
it's just easy to pick on her because she's strange and artsy and makes him eat broccoli cheese pie (which he does even though he wants to barf ~ it's hysterical).

This will sound weird, but his character in SW is pure in my eyes. His relationship with Rey I feel would be totally ruined if it was sexualized or flesh was shown, and since that was the first time I saw Adam in a movie, it felt weird seeing those clips from that show. Proves he's a damn good actor, but it was like degrading a good man.

 

That scene is sooo funny. Paterson does such a great job, largely through Driver's skill, of showing the normal range of human emotions.

for me, he's like a son i want to protect (though he certainly doesn't need it ~ hahaha).

i don't like how Dunham made him a sex object.
i mean, i'm glad women think he's sexy given how judgmental people are about hollywood standards, but it bothers me to see anyone treated like meat.

Yeah and in SW his relationship with Rey is very clean despite the controversial interrogation scene.

but again, i agree with you. i see them both as sort of pure.
if there is ReyBen, they could be a new Adam and Eve in the garden of the Force--hopefully without snakes.
they could have a chance at the stable relationship that neither Anakin & Padmé, nor even Han & Leia had.

Anakin and Padme was a dark relationship. Han and Leia's could be seen as gray. That would leave their's to be light? Or would Han and Leia be light and their's gray?

It's funny when I think about it. If there was to be a real romance, each official romance has one Skywalker (in a sense) involved.

I have to be honest. Sometimes I find myself cringe when I hear/read the way other women talk about Kylo/Adam Driver. In a totally objectiffying manner. And by feminists no less, who not only dislike but harshly judge the same behaviour in men.
My personal interest is in the charachter. His story, his mind, his soul. I feel very protective of him. And yeah its hard not to notice how sexy he is. But it's not the main point of attraction for me...I dont like kylo cuz of his locks. Or lips. That came later, lolz.

 

Force drag her around like he did Mitaka. Or ask stormtroopers to carry her.
Not exposing himself vulnerable mid batlefield by taking hands of his weapon.

 

Im going to have to agree with you here. It is very reminiscent of those old monster movies, where the monster is physically attracted to the girl. She faints, or gets knocked out and he carries her off into his lair, or whatever.

He could have had stormtroopers carry her off, just as easily, but they chose to do it this way. It may be intentional. Rey does refer to him as a monster.

 

I really dont think that all the romantic connotations that (many) people see in their interactions are accidental. I think they are put ther on purpose.

What you personally think of shippers and shipping is really unimportant. And you should rise above such judgements. Specially because you are a moderator here. I removed myself from kylo ren thread and will not post there anymore cuz I am not a person that pushes my opinions on others and shoves them down their throats. Even if I think that discussing Kylo's interations with Rey is most deffinitely on topic of that thread, I accept that most there prefer speculations that they are more comfortable with. Such as what will Kylo's scar look like. Or his ship. Or his cape. That kind of discussions are silly to ME lol...so that why I like to spice up conversations and make them more fun.
Can I ask...Why are you so bothered by the fact that some of us like to overanalyze stuff that you are not comfortable with? Im curious?

 

I wouldnt call it "romantic" but a primal attraction from Kylo to Rey. It's not mutual, she hates him.

I honestly dont know what will happen romancewise if anything in st. But I only know one truth. If you make a movie with no romance involved, you wont get many females to watch it more than once and movies are a money making business

I mean...flying space ships and lasersword fights are fine and all...but most women want emmotional investment.

Ill go along with that. I was thinking, she did have "a look" when Kylo took his mask off. Meybe she was surprise he wasn't hideous, which leads me to belive she is somewhat attracted to him. I'm a guy, so I really don't see what women do in AD. lol
