Jenny really seems like a delightful person, she is very funny, so I don't mean any harm toward her, yet even someone at SWCO mentioned her video, and how critical it was; She just ignored it and moved on.

Why would you make such a negative review of a film, and attend an event celebrating the very thing you thought was awful, or shall I say stupid?

She may have made some delightful Star Wars videos I haven't seen, but the one I saw stuck in my mind, so whenever i see her I remember that video.

I had to sit through it, until I said no more. She disliked the film so much so she had to make a video about it. So I don't watch those kinds of videos anymore because just watching them promotes them. I read the title and move on.

May the fourth be with you

Yeah it's nothing personal on her but I don't care for her videos either.
I feel like she just kind of hit it with her shtick more than her Star Wars knowledge.
Not everyone can be Witwer/Campea/Napzok but yeah, I feel like it's generic.

Doesn't move the needle for me.

Even if it's someone who didn't like it, if the video is good I can watch it.
Some of my favorite reviews are from Double Toasted. Because even if I disagree, they make it fun to listen to

I wonder how many of those who were complaining about tfa beeing a rehash ( like this guy in the video : look , is the milenium falcon - clearly a rehash, look - a guy with a red ls is fighting a guy with a blue ls - it's clearly a copy ....) are now afraid of where Disney/ Ryan Johnson is taking the sw franchise with this gray jedi / jedi must end thing.

Yeah, I would tend to agree about this specific video. He went off the deep end a view times. I watched it when it first came out, so I don't remember all of if. I remember agreeing with some of it...and then thinking "wow dude...too far." on some of it. Some of it is ridiculous, but some of it really made me think.

Probably almost all of them. Think about what they have complained about regarding Rey and her 'training'. "It breaks the rules." So what they are telling us is that Rey's approach to the force is completely original.. and they completely hate it. I've warned them about "originality" in the past and here they are; making my case and they don't even realize it.
You also need to consider what this is really all about. If they're harping about rules when Rey 'learns so quickly without a master' it doesn't take a much to realize that their polarity on the Trilogy of Trilogies is "1999". That's why despite Yoda teaching us the Force is even in man made objects "..and the ship.." they find it incredulous that the Grafflex could call out to Rey.. because there are no midichlorians in the Grafflex. Behold "the rules." And its not just this. Checklist everything they say about "the rules".. they gotta justify 10 years of "Jedi Training" somehow. Ergo, it now magically takes YEARS to learn a basic force skill.. so basic that many non-force users can counter it.
So now we're at least flirting with Grey Jedi. I personally like the idea; the Jedi are pigeonholed with the restrictions of the Prequels. And they are flirting with an MCU format after 2019. And, no, Grey Jedi is not original: the EU toyed quite a bit with this concept. But in that we get to the crux of the matter. George Lucas has made it clear that the Jedi are the only true path of the force. So how do you think Lucas Loyalist are going to react to #GreyistheWay? That's right, they're going to unleash another $#!&storm under the premise that Evil Disney is making a "direct attack on the Force"
You heard it here first, folks. Just as I predicted last time. I called the TFA $#!&storm over no Luke Skywalker, and I called it over the rehash. This is coming.

Yoda says the force is between the rock and the land and the ship...not necessarily in them. And, though I don't really like the hilt causing a vision, it DOES have a Kyber Crystal inside, and I think those have some kind of Forciness about them. So it kinda makes sense. Having a your main character become a superhero with no explanation, does not make sense (opinion). Not hate, just something about the storytelling that I thought was poorly actualized.

And predicting a $#!&storm on a Star Wars forum, is kinda like predicting the sun rising.:p

Well, that's why we're gonna get the MCU format after IX.. because we can't have intricate three part stories anymore.

    Ere the sun rises.

Saying that any Star Wars movie is the worst movie ever is ridiculous.

I'm pretty tired of reading things like "worst movie ever". It clearly shows how bad is movie comprehension by the average fanboy, and the fact that the same fanboy generally depicts Rogue One as one of the best SW movies ever (as good as Empire, according to someone) makes me even more convinced of that.

People who believe that clickbait titles are a good way to attract viewers are people with useless opinions in my book. If you can't be trusted to name your own video in a way that doesn't insult potential viewers, why would i trust your thought process on any topic?

That's because it's about money. You'll notice that ~15k likes pop up on these videos. If you look at IMDB user ratings for TFA, you get ~the same number giving the film a 1. So pandering to the MarySuebees is a rather lucrative way to "cash in" on Star Wars.
Just to show what I mean, there's a video that recently popped up on my YT page called "SJW'S are ruining Star Wars". It posted 2 months ago. There's not much to see; your typical $#!& post over everything Evil Disney has done so far, including Rogue one. There's those 15k likes again. Right on cue.
Addendum: One thing I would like to note about that recent video is how tame it sounded vs other videos out there on this matter, including Ponstory's. It almost sounds like he's praising progressiveness in Star Wars. I suspect that he made his video that tame to avoid demonetization under the current conditions at YT.

And this is exactly why I avoid these videos. But i didn't know about the somewhat "fixed" 15k views per video. I wonder where the number comes from, there's no way those are the same people...

    What about this?

Why so much resistance in accepting a female lead role in a movie like SW? The paradox is that this kind of character was introduced in the 70s by SW itself, so what do you think about this "feminazi propaganda" argument?

It effectively is the same people. A little turnover, of course, but it's the same core. Whether we like it or not Rey has become a lightning rod for gamergate.. nothing in the Ocho is going to change that atp.. even with Disney editing/rewriting/re shooting these films to placate their litany of complaints.

Yoda is not the de-facto voice on the Force. Yoda told Luke to kill Vader... Yoda was wrong. Simple as.

The Force is incredibly diverse and works in mysterious ways.

Also, TFA was an amazing film and millions and millions of people agree with me.

TFA was the greatest cinematic experience of my life. :)

Just because you seen something on internet it doesnt mean it's true :p

Strongly disagree. TFA, despite it's flaws is the most mature SW movie. Which makes it the best of them, for those who look for such content. However, we are all people of many 'flavours' so I guess all different opinions are valid :)

Also...help me solve a mystery, friend.
I was always wondering why do people google other people's reviews on stuff they themselves saw? Is it cuz we as a society have deteriorated so that we are affraid or unable to think for ourselves and form our own opinions so we look for others to tell us what we should think?
