Kylo turns back towards the light, and with the help of Luke and Rey kills Snoke.

But it's revealed that Kylo hasn't turned back, and only used Luke and Rey to ensure his rise to become the new Supreme Leader of the First Order.

    1) I don't like the idea of characters from the past constantly returning to save the day in the future - I'm not that happy she and Rex showed up in Rebels.

    2) Ahsoka being present in the ST means she was around for the entire OT, which underminds Luke's story as being the last Jedi (and do't say she isn't a Jedi - she is a Jedi in all but name) the only person who has this knowledge and is able to stand up to Vader and the Emperor in a meaningful way - someone like Her or Kanen or Ezra running around who could teach Luke OR Leia and/or assist Luke in that fight underminds the story.

Dude, she is not a Jedi. She is gray. She is what Luke is trying to become. Both have come to realize that the Jedi way is flawed. What’s the point of having Jedi trying to keep the balance when all they try to do is to destroy the Sith? The result? TOO MUCH LIGHT. NO BALANCE. And when that happens, someone turns to the dark side.

Yes she is. She uses the force, she avoids the darkside, she fights with lightsabers - she is a Jedi in all but name.

We don' tknow if Luke is trying to change what the Jedi or move away from the Light/Dark side thing.

That isn't what balance means when it comes to Star Wars.

    1) Ok... why don’t you like Ahsoka returning in SW Rebels? What wrong with her returning???

    2) And she isn’t a Jedi she LEFT the order if u remember from the finale of season 5, and also how could have Luke gotten into the temple without another force sensitive person? I mean he has to know what’s in the temple doesn’t he? And what’s wrong with her helping Luke?

Vader: Anakin Skywalker was weak, and so I destroyed him.

Ahsoka: Then I will avenge his death.

Vader: Revenge is not the Jedi way.

    Ahsoka: I am no Jedi!

Sure doesn’t sound like a Jedi, does she?

    1) Their story was clone wars. I don't want the Rebels to have to depend on FIloni's old personal favourites to succeed. I want them to do it on their own. And it just so happens Ahsoka is someone who stayed hidden all this time AND Rex is one of the few troopers who pulled the chip out (what the hell is the point of conditioning if they have chips.....). Its just bad story telling to service Filoni's fan fiction.

    2) As I said, a Jedi in all but name. She can do everything a Jedi can, fighting like one etc... And in terms of the story would/could serve the same propose to Luke has a Jedi in name. Having more help out there undermind's Luke story in the OT, and no he doesn't need Ahsoka to guide him in the ST. If thats the case, why not spend the entire TFA movie looking for her?

You understand the words - A Jedi in all but name right?
    http://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/in-all-but-name

So uses the force, the uses it like a Jedi. She oppose's the Sith and the Empire. She has the morality of a Jedi. She uses Lightsabers. In what way, BEYOND HER SAYING IT, is she not a Jedi?

I think we can all admit she is not technically a Jedi because she left the order. But title aside, for all intents and purposes she has all the traits/skills of a Jedi. No more proof is needed than when she stood toe to toe with Vader in Rebels.

    Not really.

Jedi: A user of the light side of the Force.

Sith: A user of the dark side of the force.

Gray Order: An order of force users controlling both the dark side and the light. But they make sure that they don’t go to far in either path. One Order, One Force, One Balance.

Ok I should clarify. I know there is no Gray Order I’m just trying to find a definition for users like Ahsoka and now Luke. Also, in the old cannon, there was a Gray Order. Is “Gray Users” better?

    You assuming about Luke.

Ahsoka left the order but basically stayed a Jedi - good guy, lightsaber using, force user.

In the old cannon Han and Leia had 3 children - so what?

I expect that if we watch closely, we're possibly going to see Phasma quietly becoming discontented with the FO, which will begin her decline before she defects to the Resistance. I don't think she'll defect in TLJ, but I believe we'll see it in IX.

Interesting. I haven't really heard anyone speculate on Phasma doing that before.

What makes you think that will happen? I do like the potential of it.

That would be interesting to see her defect... I would like that it would be cool to see join the rebellion

There were lots of clues to her personality in the Phasma book so there is some discussion there if you don't mind spoilers.

Doesn't matter - she serves the same purpose as a Jedi to the plot.

She could teach Luke, she could teach leia. She could help the rebellion fight, she could help Luke fight Vader.
