    I heard about this when i went to the mc chris Forevrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr show. (nerd rap album, based on the Ghostbusters). It was already pretty cheesey so they cant ruin it. but i really doubt it will have the same cult following as the original. nice post btw.

    Yeah, im hoping its funny.
    I more wanted the version from the Sony Leaks. You can google it.
    Channing Tatum and Chris Pratt wanted to do a ghostbusters reboot that was hilarious but ALSO action packed…and the kicker was…it would be the SCARIEST movie ever made. They wanted to pull that off, and with those two…add in a couple of other actors and that movie would have been much better.

    I liked Bridesmaids and The Heat, so hopefully Fieg can continue his winning streak here. As for the cast, I think it's solid. I'll admit Melissa McCarthy's shtick has gotten somewhat old, but I won't deny that she's a good choice. I'm certainly looking forward to it.

    Holy blast......I'd watch the hell outta that!

    It would be neat if Channing Tatum and Chris Pratt's version is a spin-off of this one and set in another city, like LA or San Fran. Dan Aykroyd said he wanted to do a Marvel "Shared-Universe" so maybe all 3 teams will meet up in an Avengers style cross-over to beat a big baddie.

    It just reminds me of the time Neil Simon rewrote The Odd Couple as "The Odd Couple: The Female Version". Same characters, same plot, same jokes, same LINES a lot of the time.

    Yeah I really hope it's not a remake but with girls, rather a different division of Ghostbusters in the same universe, like they report to Venkman or something.

    I hope so too. But, I mean... the cast sure looks like a recasting of Venkman, Stantz, Spengler and Zeddemore to me.

    Channing Tatum will be starring in another Ghostbusters film, directed by the Ruso Bros and set in the same universe. Not sure if the originals or the cartoon are canon though.
